@randy__vision it should have been only vancouver. potential addition could have been montreal olympic stadium. it’s funny we’re marketing toronto with bmo field.
@senjaiRW career tip: stop arguing against microservices at your workplace - it will just leave you behind. it’s a groupthink thing and middle management will always take the opportunity to announce they built a new system instead of a feature.
@Sirupsen@bernhardsson Honestly these countries in the winter are S-tier as well. Nothing beats a Montreal white night imo. Do agree with a cottage in Patagonia though
@TheMingjie@MarkJCarney@akatoshouse I might have not stated myself clearly. No, these are definitely sound investments. They just require such capital upfront that only US and China have been able to consistently go through. Canada has immense potential so I hope we succeed.
@TheMingjie@MarkJCarney@akatoshouse Culture has an effect but I think you’re overestimating it. Culture disappears pretty quickly without the billion dollar exit. The US gets to print the world’s reserve currency and they get to invest on companies that will lose money for decades before they return a profit.
@LESlegion@RonDeSantis The neat part is it won’t. At best it’s going to devalue white-collar work and pass the productivity gains to executives, shareholders etc. At worst, it’s going to render most university graduate jobs useless and put a huge wage pressure on blue-collar work.
@9903050714GSG@DamienPetersNBA Getting low on him doesn’t work like it does on Jokic though. Wemby moves like an SF so he can just spin and catch lobs or grab boards and dunk. I think OKC need to play two bigs when Wemby is in
@buccocapital worst years of my life were spent in a mag7 company with people never happy about their near 7 figure total compensation, scheming promotions, obsessing about their retirement. a sad way to live life
