Just to be clear, Justice Isa Dashen, in the guise of reviewing his own judgement, ended up sitting as an Appellate Court over his own judgement.

Ordinarily, once a court delivers its judgement, it is said to have become functus officio, meaning that the court has performed its duty and exhausted its powers over that matter.

A court is not supposed to review its own judgement except in extreme circumstances, such as where it acted without jurisdiction, where a party to the suit was not properly served, or where the judgement was obtained by fraud.

Sadly, none of these circumstances existed to justify Justice Isa Dashen reviewing his own judgement.

It is important to note that the Peace Movement Party was not a party to the suit that earlier birthed the judgement of the Court on the 10th of December, 2025.

It was NDC that brought an action against INEC strictly on its administrative decision.

So, why did Justice Isa Dashen not direct that the Peace Movement Party be joined as a necessary party to the suit if he had reasoned that their presence was so important?

Why wait for six months and sixteen days before bringing such an application?

What would it have taken Justice Isa Dashen to reopen the case if he so desires, without disturbing the substance of his earlier judgement that was properly given?

The best thing the Peace Movement Party could have done was to apply as an interested party in the appeal,not coming through the windows of review.

But because they know that if INEC, being the only party to the suit, decides to appeal the judgement now, it will naturally raise suspicion.

So they instead opted for an application seeking a review of the same judgement they were never a party to.

This is exactly why many legal minds should be worried.

Because what just happened raises serious questions about the limits of judicial powers and the sanctity of final judgments.

I regret to say this, but we are in a very deep and unfortunate era as a nation.

BVAS does not need internet or electricity to function. Just snap the signed form EC8 result sheet at the poll unit and upload it into the BVAS with the codes given to the Presiding officer at the Poll Unit.

Carry the BVAs to the collation center, it will upload anytime you get to an area that has network connection. Simple as ABCD. Dont try to twist it . Lovers of iniquity .

The law should be amended to make it compulsory that only elections result transmitted real time and on time at the poll unit centers into IREV must be accepted as the authentic result.

Any Presiding officer or Supervising Officer, who refuses to provide the code for the upload of the result at the poll units, should be jailed 25 years without option of fine or even summarily executed

The NYSC Management wishes to a clarify misleading information circulating on social media regarding Corps Member Ushie Rita Uguamaye, State Code number LA/24B/8325.

Contrary to false claims that she was denied a Certificate of National Service (CNS) due to critical remarks about the government, this assertion is entirely unfounded and false in its entirety.

Rita is among the 131 Corps Members whose Certificates of National Service (CNS), were withheld for valid disciplinary reasons. Specifically, Rita’s service year has been extended by two months for failing to attend the April 2025 biometrics clearance, a decision that aligns with the NYSC Bye-Laws.

It is important to note that this extension is a standard procedure and not unique to her case, and the principle of equal treatment was only applied in this case.
