@ChiefAdviserGoB Whether to vote YES or NO in the referendum is solely the personal decision of the citizens of đ§đŠ. How do you promotion the YES VOTE as the Cheif Advisor of this interim government? Doesn't this Promote into Question your neutral position â
Endless faces. Silent tears.
A nation stood together to say goodbye to Begum Khaleda Zia.
Forever in the heart of Bangladesh.

In yesterday's moments of deep personal loss, I want to speak from the heart and thank the many individuals whose care and professionalism helped the country conduct itself through my motherâs final farewell.
I am deeply grateful to the officers and personnel of the Bangladesh Army, Navy, and Air Force who stood with dignity and diligence throughout the day. Many of you were on duty for long hours, ensuring order and calm while remaining mindful of the grief that surrounded us. Your conduct reflected not only discipline, but kindness.
My sincere thanks also go to the men and women serving across our security and law-enforcement services: the Home Adviserâs office, the Police, BGB, Ansar & VDP, RAB, and APBN. You worked patiently and respectfully, helping millions of people gather and return safely, allowing families to mourn and pay their respects in peace.
I am equally thankful to those whose work is often unseen, the dedicated individuals of DGFI, NSI, and the Special Branch (SB). Your vigilance helped ensure the safety and smooth flow of the day.
I would also like to acknowledge the many public servants and staff working within the National Security Adviserâs office, PSO AFD, DG SSF, and the teams from the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Cultural Affairs, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Your thoughtful coordination and steady presence helped ensure that everything was handled with care.
I am grateful to the officers and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, whose thoughtful efforts helped ensure that senior dignitaries from abroad were able to personally convey the condolences of their respective countries. Their presence reflected the deep respect my mother was held in beyond our borders.
Covering the event amid a vast crowd spread across several square kilometres was an immense challenge for journalists. Despite these harsh conditions, media professionals from home and abroad worked with dedication to document and share accurate coverage of the janaza prayers and burial worldwide. I extend my sincere respect and heartfelt thanks to all of them.
I also wish to thank Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus, and the members of his cabinet, for attending in person and for helping to guide the day with steadiness and care during a moment of national mourning.
On behalf of my family, I thank each of you, not as institutions, but as people, for the empathy, respect, and sense of duty you showed at a time when we were grieving a great loss. Your efforts made it possible for our family, Alhamdilillah, and for the nation, to honour her memory with dignity.
My mother, BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, has responded to the call of Almighty Allah and left us today. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un (Indeed, we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return).
To many, she was the leader of the nation, an uncompromising leader, the Mother of Democracy, the Mother of Bangladesh. Today, the country mourns the loss of a guiding presence that shaped its democratic aspirations.
To me, Khaleda Zia was a tender and loving mother who devoted her entire life to the country and its people. Throughout her life, she stood firm against autocracy, fascism, and domination, leading the struggle for freedom, sovereignty, and the restoration of democracy.
Though her life was illuminated by sacrifice and struggle, at home she was our truest guardian, a mother whose infinite love gave us strength in our darkest moments. She endured repeated arrests, denial of medical care, and relentless persecution. Yet even in pain, confinement, and uncertainty, she never stopped sheltering her family with courage and compassion. Her resilience was not loud, but it was unbreakable.
For the country, she lost her husband; she lost her child. In that loss, this nation and its people became her family, her purpose, her very soul. She leaves behind an unforgettable legacy of patriotism, sacrifice, and resistance, a legacy that will live on in the democratic conscience of Bangladesh.
I ask you all to pray for my mother. For the profound emotion, love, and respect shown by the people of this country and by the world, my family and I remain eternally grateful.
I am deeply saddened by the tragic killing of Sharif Osman Hadi. May Allah grant his soul forgiveness and place him in Jannat. This untimely death is a grave reminder of the human cost of political violence.
Hadi was a brave political activist and a clear, fearless voice who always stood up against injustice. After the July mass uprising, as the spokesperson of Inqilab Moncho, he played an incredible role in defending the rights of the July fighters, upholding democratic values, and protecting national interests.
I express my deepest condolences to the grieving family, loved ones, and fellow activists. I also call upon the interim government to conduct swift investigation, with the utmost priority, so that perpetrators are apprehended, punished, and justice is served.
Together, we must safeguard every citizen and prevent any such incident aiming to destabilise Bangladesh and undermine our democratic aspirations.

On World Food Day, we renew our solemn commitment to the people who feed our nation - our farmers.
Bangladesh was built from their hands, nourished by their sacrifice, and strengthened by their resilience. From the fertile fields of Bogura to the âfloating gardensâ of Barisal, every grain carries the story of their endurance and our collective future.
BNP believes that true food security is built through the partnership between government, farmers, entrepreneurs, and communities, working hand in hand to build a sustainable food system.
President Ziaur Rahman came to leadership in the shadow of famine and despair. He knew that national independence meant little without food security. Under his leadership, Bangladesh began its journey from dependence to dignity, expanding irrigation, canal restoration, and multiple cropping to feed a nation that once knew famine.
Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia carried that legacy forward into a new generation. Our farmers were empowered through fertiliser subsidies, rural electrification, and âFood-for-Workâ programs that revitalised the countryside and ensured no family was left hungry.
This is the foundation on which we now stand on.
Today, as Bangladesh faces rising food prices, water stress, and climate threats, we must continue to build on that foundation, not only for our own people but for all who seek safety and sustenance within our borders. Bangladesh is sheltering over 1.15 million Rohingya refugees, in the largest refugee camp in the world, where shrinking international aid has left families surviving on barely six dollars of food support per month. BNP believes urgent, collective action is needed from governments, international agencies, donor nations, and private partners to restore food assistance and strengthen livelihoods as the world seeks to reaffirm their commitment to solving the crisis collectively.
This stark reality reminds us of the growing food insecurity happening around the world, whether it is in Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, or at our very own doorsteps. In Bangladesh, our vision for food and farming must be as humane as it is innovative.
With new tools, technology, and resolve, the BNP envisions a food system that is built on partnership. Our model for food security honours the farmer, embraces innovation, and demands global responsibility, proving that a just and nourished Bangladesh can lead by example in a world facing hunger and uncertainty:
1. Farmersâ Card Initiative: secure digital identity giving farmers direct access to subsidies, credit, insurance, and fair prices.
2. Climate-Resilient Agriculture: restore rivers and canals, and build modern Teesta and Ganga barrages for water security.
3. Sustainable Rice Farming : promote water-saving, low-emission methods to earn carbon credits.
4. Nutrition & Empowerment: recognise women as leaders in food security through âFamily Cardâ and âHealth for Allâ programmes.
5. Agro-Economy & Jobs: create 1.3 million jobs, modernise storage, and promote youth-led agri-entrepreneurship.
6. Environment & Innovation: build a circular economy through recycling, renewable energy, and modern agricultural research.
In a world of growing uncertainty, Bangladesh can lead by example, proving that food security, sustainability, and dignity for farmers are not distant goals, but achievable realities.
Bangladeshâs strength has always been in the hands that till its soil. BNP will empower those same hands to shape the nationâs future.
A home is a basic human right. We all deserve a home that is safe, dignified, and secure. Our countryside, towns, cities, rivers, forests are all one habitat, and together they shape our future.
We cannot have a strong home in a broken environment, and we cannot build a prosperous nation without sustainable development. Todayâs challenges of chaotic urban growth and climate risk demand bold, immediate action.
On this World Habitat Day, I want to reiterate the BNPâs 31-Point Plan as our roadmap to the solutions. Today, we emphasise two commitments:
âĸ Point 29: Climate change and environmental protection
âĸ Point 31: Planned, balanced urbanisation and decentralisation
We will end Dhaka-centric growth and build modern, well-planned cities so every region rises and every citizen benefits.
Weâll launch a National Green Mission, planting 250 million trees, restoring rivers, turning waste into resource, modernising farming, investing in renewable energy, and expanding the blue economy to create opportunities for our youth.
I pledge that BNP government will protect our habitat and preserve our future. Together, letâs build a greener, more sustainable Bangladesh.
