If we are paying the tariffs then the people with free cash flow are buying products that are being collected as taxes paying for the deficit. If you are about free trade then no state should charge sales taxes or regulatory fees or excise taxes. No income taxes. Then the government has no income to provide benefits. Try Econ 101 supply - demand - you’ll get government benefits if there is distributed taxes tariffs fees not for going after one group. If one group doesn’t contribute then there’s a problem
