Mind boggling things about Latin America:
>Most people are mixed race
>Most identify as Europeans
>Most countries in the continent have single digit % of Africans in their population
>Their societies resemble Africa far more than Europe
>They look down on Africans
>???
Argentina's Ministry of Defense will allow military personnel to work for Rappi and Uber to supplement their salaries to face the wage crisis in the institution.
🇺🇸🇺🇦 US Director of Nat. Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard releases EVIDENCE of past US government funding 120 biolabs in 30 countries, including UKRAINE
"The full existence and funding of these laboratories had been knowingly withheld from you, the American people"
In Latin America it's the exact inverse of the Anglo one-drop rule: one drop of White blood - no matter how minimal or distant- lets you claim to be White/European. 🤡
Iran’s Underground Military Bases: “It’s the geology, stupid”
FT’s “The Iranian missile cities the US could not destroy” caused a stir, but scholars of Iran knew that sites for underground bases were chosen for geography & geology.
▶️The geology of the Iranian Plateau is formidable. Not being a geologist, all I can safely say (with help from Uncle Claude) is that formations like limestone and dolomite absorb and scatter blast energy. The Iranian Plateau is “honeycombed with natural caves and cavities, layered with fractures, which breaks up and swallows shockwaves before they travel far.”
▶️Iranian geologists, engineers, and soldiers picked sites. Construction expanded after the “Axis of Evil” speech (29/01/2002).
▶️Iran had 24 years to prepare.
▶️Iranians studied the “American war of war”: the US military is a “one-trick pony”—air campaigns (Serbia, Iraq, Libya, Syria). It solved the problem by developing formidable subterranean cities.
Historical note: Iranian civilization emerged millennia ago in an arid landscape. Iranian civilization stands in contrast to those that developed along rivers: Indus, Nile, Euphrates, Tigris, Yellow River. Iranians discovered subterranean aquifers and devised channels (qanat) to transport water many km to settlements (search: “kariz” or “qanat”). The longest kariz is 80km (Zarch, Yazd). The deepest mother-well is 340m (Gunabad, Khurasan).
❗️The “moral of the story” is that Iranians know their forbidding environment and how to profit from it.

There are countries that if they had the military of the US and it's economy would descent into anarchy and poverty in a very short amount of time. It didn't happen to Americans.
Because their culture is exceptional
As are their people

@vibeocracy@emp_time_exe Please embrace and identify however you want.
I'll still see you as a fellow American with European ancestry.
I'm born and raised California for life. My family, friends, neighbors, teachers have Mexican ancestry. Just like when I was a kid, they are white Americans.
@vibeocracy They won't say *I am European* but most hispanic cultures are very classist. Where you rank on society has a lot to do with your genetic "stock". Claiming to be (or have family from) somewhere in Europe is a flex for many
A Peruvian girl back in highschool had this exact skin color and facial features.
The first thing she would tell you about herself within a minute of talking to you was that "her family was Italian"
Wild
@vibeocracy A lot of those and from all other places in Latin America. My experience has been that a lot of latinos, should they have one white ancestor (somewhere), they make that European nationality a part of their identity

@captainrontron@vibeocracy I know latinos don't identify as latinos but as much as they dislike the label they share enough culturally with each other that I find "latino" or "hispanic" totally appropriate to describe them as whole.
@vibeocracy Having grown up around all sorts of latinos I dont agree with you. Enough of them do that I feel perfectly comfortable making that generalization.
I am black and I am on the side of the Irish protesters.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Hahaha people can't read 🤣
I never said the belfast riots were about racism.
I am pointing out that what is right or wrong goes out the window once you have people setting houses on fire.
The Irish have a just cause. But not every people is as wise as the Irish.
What happened in belfast is a wakeup call for all Afro-descendant peoples.
You could make the perfect argument about the immorality of racism or xenophobia.
None of it will matter once enough people adopt the views of the right.
We have work to do.
