My mom Jan died today. She was a dedicated children's librarian who impacted countless kids. She was not particularly successful professionally and most of her work went unnoticed. But it still mattered.

My 12 y/o daughter is exasperated with a boy named Ollie at school because he keeps bragging that he can bench press 90 lbs so she bet him he couldn’t even do a push up and he wasn’t able to because he apparently “had on the wrong clothes.”
