@OurFavOnlineDoc And they ("older generation") get pissed off when the youths go for big brother and the likes (and I'm not even a fan) cos they feel it's a short-cut and "immoral" way of life. While they've actively ruined every benefit they enjoyed.

"Thank you for loving me" the little boy from Rosario said as he took his final bow.

No, Leo. We thank you.

You were the joy of our teenage and adulthood - because across civilizations, political enclaves and nationalities, we might not speak the same language but we all spoke Messi.

You made magicians quiver because the swiftness of your feet made the firmaments stop.

You made sorcerers question the potency of their charms because of the precision by which your strikes split the wind.

You made giants look mortal & levelled them.

You made defenders forget their names - left them with cracked ankles.

You made goalkeepers stare into the emptiness of their nets - wondering what had just passed them by.

And somehow, Leo, you did it all with a rolling leather at your feet, a smile that made the impossible look ordinary & strides that mirrored the silhouettes of gods. My Leo.

Oh my Leo, I type this with tears bubbling in my eyes.

We watched you grow. We watched you become a man carrying the weight a club & eventually an entire generation upon shoulders that never seemed built for such burdens.

We watched you stumble. We watched you lose.
We watched you walk away and we watched you come back.

That's what makes you the Greatest Of All Times because greater than the goals, greater than the trophies, greater even than the records - You reminded us that greatness is not the absence of failure.

That sometimes the smallest amongst us can cast the longest shadow.

I wasn't born in the civilization that cracked industrialization, I wasn't born in the civilization that made coffins fly in the sky but how lucky I am to be born in the civilization whom you found worthy to voyage through with your gift, My Leo.

We will tell our children about you, about that night in Mexico - with the World Cup clenched in your palms.

We will tell them about the night your fathered orphans in Madrid. We will tell them about the careers you ended in Camp Nou.

No, don't thank us, Leo.

We thank you. For the memories, the magic, the joy, the friendships you fostered across the globe, your love for the game and for making us believe.

Rest now, Leo.

We don't know what football would look like moving forward - Stadiums will eventually go dark in silence, boots will hang in museums, numbers will get passed, records might get broken.

It doesn't matter. You were the man, the myth, the god, the game.

And when we all lay crumpled one day, old in our dying beds and someone asks us what being football looked like being young -

We shall all chant:

Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾 Messsi. 🙌🏾

The person who made this video deserves an Oscar.

Argentina thought it was time to hang Messi’s No.10 up. The fans refused. They ran through the streets, tore down the farewell tribute and kept wearing his shirt.

“They’re not ready for this to be the end.”

Then the message: “He can’t hang it up if you’re still wearing it.” 😭🇦🇷

Average self acclaimed wealthy person in Nigeria is wicked and full of him/herself but one of my favorite things to do is to deflating their ego when ever opportunity presents itself and it doesn’t necessarily needs to be directed at me, I dey always buy the matter .
That was how i saw one woman in pentagon store the other day shouting at the sales person because she didn’t leave every other person to attend to her, her exact words was; “otua ka unu si akpari mmadu, o na imaro onye mbu” I just spark once , shame and fear catch the woman she left immediately .
While lashing at her, I told her they’re able to get away with all their nonsense because of a failed system, that if it were to be outside the country she will on her own join queue but some us will always be eager to keep them in check even if she is the president wife.
I have also blocked a Chinese man and his escort who jumped queue in Northwest fuel station.
Even as a skilled laborer I don’t allow my client to talk to me anyhow, far back when I briefly worked as a driver for a house of Assembly member, the wife wanted to do me nwunye Oga something I clear her doubts in the presence of her husband.
The oppressive system we found ourselves in have so overwhelmed some people psychologically that even you speak English fluently they will instantly loose composure out of lack of confidence in oneself.

If a man chooses to give his entire inheritance to his sons while leaving his daughters with nothing, then his sons should be responsible for him in old age.
When he’s sick, needs money, food, or care let the sons handle it.

Your daughters owe you nothing.

To the people complaining these sex abuse cases have created a world where men now have to think 10 times before they touch a woman.

Yes, that's the point.

It's called consent. Welcome to human decency.
