Pakistan had an opportunity to focus on securing peace in a major conflict.
Instead, all the energy has been expended on self-glorification.
It’s embarrassing to watch.
And it’s reflective of a deep slave mentality: so desperate is this (illegitimate) government to secure validation that they just can’t get over the excitement of hosting talks…
It really is pathetic.
And if anyone replies to this post saying “don’t you want peace to prevail?” - you’ve completely missed the point. We all want peace and this (illegitimate) government should have played a sombre and mature role….. instead they are the political equivalent of excited little kids who just can’t get over the recognition.
It’s truly embarrassing.
We can’t solve it. No one has discovered a method yet. We simply don’t have the technology. Maybe in the near future we can harness the power of AI to solve problems like these.
Theres this TikTok of a girl saying when she's speaking to men she asks them do they want kids&then moves on& then later on she asks them about their dreams& their goals&they never mention the children so she pivots back to how they fit into their dreams&it's crickets
The joke writes itself, sure. But a matchmaking google form made with care by someone who knows the terrain is 10x more humane than any algorithm that wants to sell you your own loneliness back as “connection”
The violence of the defensive side can never be equated morally to the violence of the aggressor. This doesn't mean the defensive side gets a pass to do whatever. Standard rules of war still apply. But within the framework of those rules, the defender has the right to fight.
we've appreciated our news media enough the past few days, but they're starting to fail. there's virtually no coverage on kashmir. we need a collective push and ask to center kashmiri voices and cover the fear & lives lost at the LoC @MariaPtweets@RabiaAnumm@WaseemBadami
I absolutely love when people are just genuinely good people. When their presence feels like a breath of fresh air. The way they uplift the space around them with their love. Just pure and purposeful intentions. These people are the biggest blessings.
tea is a warm hug after an exhausting day at work. tea is a friend looking for you in a crowd and smiling when they see you. tea is your grandmother's home cooked meals. tea is holding hands with your lover for the first time. tea will always be there for you no matter what.
