The moon looks like a dime today. 10 cent moon. It's going to fall right down into the grocery store parking lot so I can pick it up and take it home and have good luck forever and a day
I literally am not even sure how you access it. I presume there’s an app but like gun to my head I don’t even know what the page / search bar / chat box looks like.
One thing about adulthood that way too many people learn way too late (and have no choice but to learn the hard way): you have to be deliberate/proactive about everything. For the first time in your life, you can't be passive participant in anything.
Never stop saying "dozen" and "half dozen". Never stop using the word you read in an old novella. Never stop using your regional jargon. Don't succumb to an internationalized English stripped of its whimsy and romanticism in the name of streamlining global commerce.
This is probably the most common and pervasive way in which little girls are taught to prioritise men and placate them at all costs and little boys are taught that life should revolve around them as adults.
Not to Kurt Vonnegut post too hard but I love seeing how many people in the comments enjoy this kind of interaction. Capitalism tries to turn everything into a smooth, frictionless, slimy transaction but it removes all the positives as well. It’s literally what a community is based around. I hate self checkout. I hate the taxis for burritos. I hate not talking to someone on the phone for customer service. And I hate one touch payment systems that separate you from your money too easily. It makes people jaded and cynical. I am boomer posting.
