Every journey begins with hope. On International Day of Hope, we spoke to a few of the women we serve about the hope that brought them this far and the dreams they still hold for the future.

There are moments that stay with you… and for me, "Discover Her", the @WfWRwanda 's Impact Gala, was one of them. 💛
We often speak about empowering women and girls as a pathway to sustainable development...Yes, it is. But what truly moved me was witnessing how transformation becomes even more powerful when men are part of the journey.
I listened to women share stories that brought tears to my eyes. Stories of pain, resilience, and ultimately, transformation. Women who once lived in fear, facing violence and mistreatment, now speaking of partnership, dignity, and harmony because their husbands chose to grow with them.
A young teenage mother, who had lost everything… yet stood there carrying something even more powerful: HOPE.
It was a powerful reminder that empowerment is not just about individuals, it is about shifting mindsets, rebuilding relationships, and creating environments where women can truly thrive.
This #WomensMonth, I celebrate organizations like WfW and many others doing the work, quietly, consistently, and impactfully. The kind of work that does not just change lives, but transforms entire communities.
Because when women rise, and when men rise with them, we all move forward. #Rwanda
Discover Her, WfW-R’s Impact Gala, brought together a community united by purpose to honour journeys and celebrate what happens when women are given the space to thrive.
