Polymarket Just Changed the Rules Mid-Bet — And That’s Not Acceptable

The FVD Monad market was supposed to be simple: use the most liquid exchange as the price source. That was the rule from the very beginning. At the time of resolution, the most liquid market by a wide margin was Upbit MON/KRW — not Coinbase.

What actually happened at the resolution timestamp (25 Nov 2025, 14:00 UTC):

Upbit MON/KRW 24h volume: ~$380–450M
(45–55% of global spot volume on CoinGecko)
Coinbase MON/USD volume: just ~$187M

Upbit 14:00 UTC close: 54.35 KRW = $0.0405
→ FDV = $4.05B (which clearly satisfies “> $4B”)

CMC Liquidity Score: Upbit 78–86 vs Coinbase 68–76
Every piece of public data showed the same thing: Upbit was the dominant, most liquid exchange.

Yet hours after the resolution moment, Polymarket suddenly shifted the price source to Coinbase — contradicting the original rule and retroactively rewriting the basis of the market. That’s not how a prediction market is supposed to work.

A market is only as trustworthy as the consistency of its rules. Changing the price source after the fact undermines fairness, transparency, and confidence in the entire platform.

The correct outcome is “YES.”
The price source should be the most liquid exchange — Upbit — exactly as originally stated.

Polymarket should honor its own rules, not adjust them on the fly. This issue needs to be escalated to UMA DVM immediately.
