@Rogers I requested my internet set up 2 weeks ago and even after 6 technicians coming by and hours of phone calls, and 3 escalations with your management, I still don't have working internet. #timetocallBell#epicfail
@ExpediaCA Can you give us an approximate eta for the ability to cancel/change travel plans online? And can you make sure people can move the entire package and not having to cancel flight and hotel separately? Ty.
@ExpediaCA how does one go about cancelling a booked vacation package with flights and hotels booked via you? Your phone line is jammed and we need to cancel and were due to travel in 10 days
@toddcharron OKRs keeps you focus on things you thought you should focus on and continue to do even when it becomes irrelevant, which is the opposite of inspect and adapt. It's supposed to change often but most people set OKRs like they do with smart goals...too many and too infrequently
Nobody cares about agile. No body....funny to watch all the agile talks going on between people who are not in charge of delivery, dates and decisions. Time to take off agile blinders, get out of the building, get involved, get in front of people who can make a difference
@toddcharron An example. Some companies receive negative employee feedback, so they ask their employees to write positive feedback instead of learning from the negative feedback. #glassdoors
@toddcharron I've seen learned helplessness in mediocre companies and more effort spent on protecting the statues quo than to tackle issues. The good people in mediocre systems will try and eventually leave, and that company eventually lose all the tryers and hire consultants. #banks
@toddcharron Certification promotes spending not learning...people often see if as an end state than a starting point for opening more doors and taking in more knowledge. "I am a certified (fill in the blank)".
Certification makes the ego feel great
Problems certification solves:
For trainers:courses seem credible. People pay more for them
For HR/recruiters:can cut down the number of resumes they have to sort through by filtering for certs
The problem not solved:
Does person have the skills and abilities they are claiming?
@toddcharron I begin to wonder if only people who know how to scale agile are on Twitter, the people who are trying to scale by making things bigger and more complex are probably not having this conversation, that's why they are still at it...
