@SociologenHD@urbantui Those who elected you would really want to consider whether you see your role as representing them, or being a paid spokesperson for Israel .
You seem to spend a lot of energy focused on defending Israel
@SociologenHD The starting point is international law.
No state's right to exist trumps that.
If you can't admit that adherence to international law is a non-negotiable then your constituents ought to question what role you should play in the EU parliament and where your priorities lie
@Kaisasfire@WarMonitor3 You should go and read the legal basis Israel uses for the blockade and then consider the legal implications for those it detains... It's not as simple as you have assumed.
@Kaisasfire@WarMonitor3 1) intention is now grounds for Extrajudicial arrest and detention of citizens or other countries outside your territorial waters...
2) founded on an argument that it is a legal blockade, probably depending on the same laws being breached
@sfrantzman@BarakRavid@michaldivon This sort of parading gives a great and clear signal to the EU @vonderleyen and @kajakallas as to how Israel treats EU citizens #protectwhatmatters only applies when Russia threatens our citizens.
Bizarre that EU has allowed our citizens to be kidnapped in intentional waters
