You: my portfolio is up 12%

Government: nice, we'll be taxing that profit.

You: but inflation was 9%, so my actual gain is only 3%

Government: irrelevant. We're taxing the full 12%

You: so I'm getting taxed on money inflation already took from me?

Government: a gain is a gain. Stop making it complicated.

You: got it. Next time I'll just store my wealth in an asset you can't print into oblivion.

If you get upset with people who change their gender and demand that you comply with their preferred pronouns...

Then you should get upset with Presidents who change the names of things and demand that you comply with their preferred nouns.

@BullTheoryio The unknown...

[Bull Theory @BullTheoryio]

1 year ago we experienced the most brutal crash of crypto history for reasons still unknown.

Bitcoin crashed $15,214 in just 36 minutes.

Here's how it played out minute by minute:

[Heidi @blockchainchick]

TETHER CAN DELETE YOUR BALANCE. IT'S WRITTEN INTO THE CODE.

Not freeze it. Delete it.

The USDT contract has a function called destroyBlackFunds. It has been there since the 2017 Ethereum deployment.

Here is what it does, in order. It checks that your address is already blacklisted. It reads your balance into a variable the developers named "dirtyFunds". It sets your balance to zero. It subtracts that amount from total supply. Then it logs the event.

No function can reverse it. Once it runs, that balance is gone forever.

The blacklist function names the address it targets "_evilUser". That is how the code sees you before anyone has proven anything.

Only Tether's owner multisig can call it, on Ethereum and on Tron. A court can't. A regulator can't. When a government wants your money, Tether is the one that executes.

Then comes step two. Tether mints the same amount fresh to whoever it chooses: a victim, a court address, a government address. Net supply change is zero. Your money just changed owners.

The DOJ described this exact process in a forfeiture case filed in Massachusetts in March 2025, over roughly $9,016,612 in USDT. Burn, then reissue.

USDC can block a wallet but can't burn the balance. Tether built the eraser in from the start.

They keep promising you there will be no CBDC.

It already exists. It runs on Tron and Ethereum, and it has an owner.

Bitcoin doesn't. Exit with Bitcoin.

@Ledger_Support So I cant trust them? Theyre my neighbours🤣

[Mark Karpelès @MagicalTux]

My spy-implanted ledger came from Malaysia, and had flawless shrink wrap. Even opening it, at first you don't see the implant which is cleverly hidden where the screen's padding is supposed to be.
Follow Ledger's guidance to check yours: https://t.co/FlOjWvqkZw

[Ted @TedPillows]

Someone bought 80 BTC for $5,200,000 during the June low.

A week ago, he transferred his funds to the Ledger wallet and was up $1,460,000.

Today, his wallet got drained, and he's left with nothing.

Really sad.

[Ledger Support @Ledger_Support]

Ledger is investigating reports of loss of funds from users in South East Asia who purchased products from a reseller named CryptoBillis. As a precaution, and pending the results of our investigation, we have asked CryptoBilis to pause all sales and shipments of Ledger devices. We recommend Ledger users who purchased from this reseller in the last 90 days to not initiate set up if you have not done so yet. If you have set up your Ledger device, consider moving assets to a new Ledger signer (with new seed). We will continue to inform customers of updates as the investigation progresses.

Reach out to Ledger customer support through official channels with any questions: https://t.co/4p918UH8yb

[Specter @SpecterAnalyst]

There have been a reports on X and Reddit of wallet-draining by Ledger users.

I traced the theft addresses and identified inflows from more hundreds of victim wallets across several major blockchains, including Ethereum, TRON, and Bitcoin.

Total losses $86M+

What is this madness? I confirmed on truth social this was a real post.

I work in and studied ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE. It's very definition means a learning system that mimics intellig3nce, which by definition intelligence means ability to reason, learn, understand, etc

A Large Language Model is not inherently INTELLIGENT, it is simply a glorified parrot. The LLM engine is in fact just a sentence completer. It predicts what you are going to type next, by using its training data configured layers.

Modern LLMs like Grok, ChatGPT, etc your prompt and response is merely a sophisticated word completion where the LLM completes your question/sentence with an answer.

I don't blame Trump, I blame his team of advisors who are probably spinning shit up for him without a grasp on technology.

Super intelligence is a myth, so is AGI, we are just not there yet.

What SBF was actually like at LIV vs NETFLIX:

[Quinten @QuintenFrancois]

Conclusions of Token2049:
- filled with bankers and memecoin scammers
- Only topic this week was Tokenization. Heard the same discussion 359 times
- Very low quality people overall
- Barely any builders, techies, OGs
- $1000 a night hotels because of F1 weekend nearly nobody cares about
- Record high air pollution because of fires in Sumatra

Yeah this was very likely the very last time I went to Token2049.

So, together, we might make it into something... 🤣
