Paul Brittain, the owner of a tree and crane service in North Carolina, delivered free firewood to 85-year-old widow Nana Abernathy after she called his company saying she could not afford wood to heat her home.
When he arrived and began stacking a generous load of firewood for her, Nana became overwhelmed with emotion and hugged him in tears.
Brittain’s kindness did not stop there.
After learning more about Nana’s situation, he fixed her car tires, repaired her roof, and helped address problems with her heating and air conditioning, all at no cost.
He also organized community support, including yard cleanup, and started a GoFundMe to help her through the holidays.
The fundraiser went on to raise more than $20,000.
The Horror Of Being Left Behind
Being left behind will be more terrifying than any horror movie because it will be real.
The day may come when millions disappear, and those who remain will experience a fear unlike anything mankind has ever known. Panic will replace pride. Tears will replace laughter. Reality will silence every excuse.
But the greatest horror is not chaos in the streets.
The greatest horror is to enter eternity without Christ.
Yet God has given mankind hope. John 3:16 kjv says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." God's desire is not that sinners perish, but that they receive everlasting life through His Son.
The Lord Jesus Christ came into this world to save sinners. According to 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 kjv, "Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures." He shed His perfect holy blood, paid the full price for sin, was buried, and rose again in victory.
Acts 20:28 kjv declares that God purchased the church "with his own blood." And according to 1 Peter 1:18-19 kjv, "Ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold... But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot." Our redemption was not purchased by religion, good works, or human effort, but by the precious and holy blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Salvation is not found in religion, self-improvement, or human effort. Ephesians 2:8-9 kjv declares, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Eternal life is God's gift, received by faith, not earned by works.
And God has made His invitation wonderfully simple. Acts 16:31 kjv says, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved." The sinner who places his trust in Christ alone and His finished work has God's promise of salvation.
And who are the ones that will be caught up to meet the Lord?
1 Thessalonians 4:14 kjv gives the answer: "For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him."
Then 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 kjv continues, "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
The same people described in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 kjv are the ones identified in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 kjv: those who believe that Jesus died and rose again. The blessed hope belongs to those who trust the finished work of Christ and His precious blood.
Do not wait until fear replaces opportunity.
Do not wait until the trumpet sounds and the world is thrown into confusion.
Do not wait until eternity turns warnings into reality.
Hebrews 9:27 kjv says, "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment."
Hell is real.
Judgment is real.
Eternity is real.
And the Savior who cried in John 19:30 kjv, "It is finished," has already finished the work necessary to save every sinner who believes.
Heavy summary
The horror of being left behind will not come from monsters, demons, or horror movies.
It will come from reality.
But an even greater horror than being left behind on earth is to be left outside God's salvation and spend eternity in hell.
There is still hope.
There is still mercy.
There is still an open door.
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.
Trust His precious and perfect holy blood.
Trust His finished work.
Trust that He died for your sins, was buried, and rose again.
Because Acts 16:31 kjv still declares, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved."
Before reality arrives.
Have you ever woken up in the morning with a specific song in your spirit?
Or maybe you were in the place of prayer, praying intensely about a situation, and suddenly a song hit your spirit and refused to leave.
Hear this.
Don't ignore it.
Don't be too quick to move on.
Don't assume it is just a random thought.
There are moments when the Holy Spirit chooses to communicate through a song.
Many believers are waiting for a voice from heaven, a dream, a prophecy, or a vision, yet God is already speaking through the song that keeps rising in their spirit.
Sometimes the song has nothing to do with what you were thinking about before you slept.
Sometimes it comes unexpectedly while you are driving, working, walking, or praying.
It suddenly rises from within, and the more you try to ignore it, the stronger it becomes.
When that happens, pay attention.
Play the song.
Sing the song.
Meditate on the words.
Worship through it.
Allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you through it.
There are songs that carry healing.
There are songs that carry direction.
There are songs that carry encouragement.
There are songs that carry correction.
There are songs that carry prophetic messages for a particular season of your life.
Sometimes you may enter prayer burdened by problems, asking God for answers, and in the middle of your prayers a song begins to rise in your spirit.
At that moment, don't resist it.
Don't think, "I need to finish my prayer points first."
Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Begin to sing that song.
Sing it again and again.
Worship with it.
Stay there as long as the Holy Spirit allows.
Many times we are so focused on speaking to God that we forget to listen to Him.
What if that song is His answer?
What if that song contains the encouragement you need?
What if that song is God's way of shifting your focus from the battle to the One who gives victory?
The Bible says that God gives songs in the night. Throughout Scripture, songs were connected to worship, deliverance, victory, and the presence of God.
Paul and Silas were in prison, surrounded by chains and impossible circumstances. Yet they prayed and sang praises unto God. As they worshipped, heaven responded, the prison shook, and the chains were broken.
Never underestimate what God can do through a song inspired by the Holy Spirit.
There are victories that come through worship.
There are burdens that disappear through worship.
There are tears that are healed through worship.
There are answers that are revealed through worship.
There are battles that prayer starts but worship finishes.
The next time you wake up with a specific song in your spirit, don't ignore it.
The next time a song interrupts your prayer time, don't brush it aside.
Pause.
Listen.
Sing.
Worship.
And remain there until the Holy Spirit releases you.
Because sometimes your breakthrough is not hidden in another prayer point.
Sometimes your instruction is not hidden in another prayer point.
Sometimes your victory is hidden in the song that God placed in your spirit. 🎵🔥🙏🏾
Pay attention to the songs that the Holy Spirit places in your heart. They may be carrying more than a melody—they may be carrying a message from God.
"Islam is dead in Iran," says Mohamad Faridi. He grew up in Iran's Islamic martyrdom culture and was trained to be a shaheed in the IRGC until he found out about Jesus. Now, as thousands of mosques close and the Islamic regime loses its grip on the hearts of its people, something extraordinary is happening.

"Noah was saved because he put his trust in God. The days of Noah are returning to earth, and a catastrophe as great as the flood awaits those who refuse to enter into the ark of salvation, which is Jesus Christ." —Billy Graham
We live in the most educated generation in human history.
More degrees. More data. More access to information than any civilization before us.
And yet — we can't agree on what truth is anymore.
Education alone does not make a person good. Hitler's officers had PhDs. They were brilliant by the world's standard. And they were capable of unspeakable evil — because their intelligence had no anchor in God.
Knowledge without God doesn't produce wisdom. It produces power without conscience. Capability without character. It produces what Pastor Hagee called an intellectual barbarian.
Proverbs 1:7 says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. Not a supplement to it. Not a nice addition. The beginning. The foundation everything else is supposed to be built on.
We are a generation that is ever learning — consuming content, studying systems, chasing answers — and never arriving at the truth. Because we have removed the One who said, "I am the truth," from the conversation.
