People say C gives you too much control.

No.

C gives you the keys, starts the engine, and assumes you know how to drive.

If you crash, that's your problem.

IDS: Instead of listening to the western community and improving Strinova, let's feed our work into Gen-AI and use the money the players gave us to continue funding the AI tokens.

Lo dije en ingles y ahora lo digo en español, el problema con este juego es el no escuchar a la comunidad, si hay comunidad inglesa, al igual que hispana pero no buscaron escucharlos lo que ocasiona que no quieran volver a jugarlo

[Strinova Leaks/News @CalabiyauLeaks]

(CN, Global)
More tidbits of information have been gathered from the recent Calabiyau Carnival as well as another interview.
Link to interview: https://t.co/nTdG6zHsoW
Link to Calabiyau Carnival dev talk: https://t.co/cFIYtoKgeq (starts at 14:36)

Translation of interview:
Q: What are your next plans for global? What plans are there for tournaments & the mobile version of the game overseas?

A: We failed in EU and the US for 2 major reasons, the first being that we dumped money into advertising before the game was fully ready, and the second being that our operations team didn't understand western culture well, especially US culture. This year we plan on shifting our focus towards JP & KR, as the game has always been doing fine over in JP.
As of now, we aren't prioritising the competitive side of things, instead we'd focus on fun events or collegiate tournaments, creating lightweight offline events that have a high player participation rate. We don't have any plans for a mobile release yet, as it still needs further polishing and verification. Since we're now profitable, there's no reason to rush to get it online.

Q: When will Extraction officially be added the the game? Will it take away manpower & production from Demolition or Outbreak?

A: The playtest during our Calabiyau Carnival would be the deciding factor. If the feedback we get as well as our progress are as expected, then we'll begin the first round of testing during Oct/Nov, essentially just doing preseason testing before allowing us to refine the gamemode for 2-3 months. Our team is now in the "Team 2.0" stage, where we do our best to standardise and industralise everything we're good at doing, and use that freed up production capacity for Extraction development. We'll keep production of Extraction and other gamemodes separate from each other with different pacings, meaning we won't abandon Demolition or Outbreak just because we're working on Extraction

Q: iDreamSky has finally managed to become profitable after 5 straight years, do you think you can relax a bit now?

A: Of course. In the beginning, iDreamsky was a publishing company, and we have always wanted this company to have its own R&D capabilities. Thus, we've taken many a detour, which can roughly be summarized into a few phases: The first phase had a very clear plan, which was to bring the best games into China; the second phase was a blurry, confused phase, in which we paid a high price for; during 2022, we focused our attention onto certain departments, axing non-vital affairs, and separating some smaller game departments and some middle departments. We only managed to achieve our goals with the launch of Calabiyau on PC in 2024, as well as taking back our publishing rights for Calabiyau PC and releasing Calabiyau Mobile.
Now, Calabiyau is finally raking in some cash flow. The team now consists of around 200 or more people, revenue grew 70% compared to last year; and the momentum during the first half of 2026 has been even better, mainly because of an increase in player growth. With our own R&D shifting from being opinion-driven to being data-driven, as well as us already having a solid publishing foundation, we can finally rest a little easier.

Q: Nora's been a hot topic of discussion lately, so how did the promotional process work?

A: When we were first designing Nora, we first had to determine the design elements of a character that players would like: Heterochromic eyes, Japanese-themed design, white-haired loli, etc. When we started promoting her, we focused more on the worldview, lore and emotions that wouldn't be easy to display while playing her in-game—how she became a sorceress, how she summoned Cernon—and turned them into a cutesy PV, generating nearly 2 million views on Bilibili. The important part of promoting any character is to let the players get to see any parts of the worldview not easily expressed in-game.

Translation of the dev talk from the Calabiyau Carnival:
- Reiichi's Legendary skin is in the works, though it'll take quite a while before it actually releases.
- The reason for releasing the Extraction gamemode was because Calabiyau wanted to find their own place in the Extraction shooter market by being the only anime Extraction shooter in the genre, which would give them the upper hand; and also to resolve the issue of Demolition and other PVP-oriented gamemodes causing players to rage easily. With Extraction, since players can play however they want, they hope to make it more relaxing.
- Quite a lot of lore should come alongside Extraction, so do stay tuned.
- What separates the Extraction gamemode in Calabiyau with other Extraction shooters is that they'll focus more on PVE than PVP, the items that you can obtain from vaults & chests will tie into stringification and character backstories, and the map will be bigger to allow players to explore more as well as to avoid the gamemode being a bloodfest where all the teams and loot are concentrated in only one area.
- The items will, as mentioned before, tie into stringification, and it could be that items are stringified when you obtain them and you have to unstringify them after successfully extracting them. The items could also be Superstring agent-related, and they could affect things outside of the match.
- The gamemode will be more PVE-oriented, because based on their past experiences, they have deduced that most players that come for the anime artstyle dislike overly competitive shooters, and going solely PVE is also bad because the element of human interaction is missing.
- The map shouldn't be all too different from regular Demolition maps in terms of art style, though outdoor parts of the map will contrast the indoor parts of the map to help players mentally mark out parts of the map that they've visited before. There will also be a lot of stuff to do, like killing the Crystalline monsters that spawn across the map, or looting chests and vaults.

[m @ranniram]

@CalabiyauLeaks Sometimes I think the core problem of Strinova is the CEO of iDS, they are literally ignore Global player base and don't want even trying to understand why they're failed. It's not about culture,it's about laziness and ignorance. Game literally will die before Extraction release.
