The Jewish National Fund controls a massive portion of Israeli state land - 97% - with a charter **explicitly prohibiting ** sale or lease to non-Jews. Property ownership is a lie. Meanwhile, Citizenship works the same way. The Law of Return gives automatic citizenship to any Jew worldwide, including a Norwegian with zero ancestral connection to the land, while a Palestinian Christian whose family has been there since the first century cannot return. The Right of Return also BANS Jews who believe in Jesus. They are NOT eligible. And the 2018 Nation-State Law explicitly reserves national self-determination for Jewish people only.

In terms of “worshipping freely,” Israel has repeatedly bombed churches - almost always DURING worship. At lest 13 times in the last 3 years. Not on a single occasion were terrorists hiding in the church. Ditto for Lebanon. Some churches have been hit, 3, 4, or more times. Israel bans evangelism over the broadcast airwaves and has pulled broadcast licenses for telling Jews they need Jesus. It bans evangelism to minors.

Israel bans humanitarian relief if it’s religious. Section 174 of the Israeli Penal Code makes it ILLEGAL to give a glass of water away in Jesus’ name. It’s called “missionary activity through material inducement.” In December 2025, Israel’s Ministry of Diaspora Affairs banned 37 international aid organizations from operating there because they put Bible verses on relief supplies.

In 2023, Knesset members Moshe Gafni and Yaakov Asher of United Torah Judaism introduced a bill to expand that to criminalize ALL evangelism. Simply sharing the gospel with an adult would carry one year in prison. Sharing it with a minor, two years. The bill’s own language explicitly names “missionary groups, mainly Christians” as the target. It also would have outlawed distributing the New Testament. Netanyahu killed it after American pressure.

In February of this year, the Israeli Knesset advanced a bill 56-47 giving the ultra-Orthodox Chief Rabbinate absolute legal authority over Jewish holy sites including the Western Wall, classifying any worship contradicting a Rabbinate ruling as criminal desecration punishable by up to seven years in prison.

The notion a Christian can “worship freely” in Israel is absolute nonsense. The Ministry of Tourism lets pilgrim tourists do their thing while on vacation with minimal interruption. But go preach Jesus on a street corner in Tel Aviv and see what happens.
