They have three goalkeepers probably on the same level, ability-wise.
They have a defense that are of varying profiles and that's a big advantage if deployed well. They have good ball players too. Van Hecke, VVD, Timber are all decent on the ball.
Their midfield is full of runners. De Jong is their unique profile there. Others provide some raw energy in their game.
I believe Brobbey will be a good fit for a tournament if they play to his qualities. Their attack isn't as promising, but it's not a bad list.
Their biggest problem is the man who selected all of them.
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: I have been told that serious discussions are happening behind the scenes, Chelsea’s sporting directors flew to Spain this week for intense talks with Xabi Alonso. Alonso wants to wait until the Premier League season is over before making key decisions. He wants to see exactly where we finish so he can decide who to keep and who to let go.
The focus is on the big four: Reece James, Enzo Fernandez, Moisés Caicedo, and Cole Palmer. Almost all other players could be up for sale. This is a huge boost for Alonso, giving him a chance to reset the squad.
The board is currently with Alonso in Spain, having serious, ongoing discussions about the future. This is a pivotal moment for Chelsea as we hope to see a stronger squad from next season.
With this new clarity, fans can look forward to a more focused Chelsea, players like Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro, Colwill and others will get a chance to rest and regroup, setting us up for a big season ahead.

Matisse Thybulle on the job Tiago Splitter did this season:
"There's a term where, if its late in the shot clock and someone throws you the ball because they don't have a good look and you have to shoot it with no time left, they call it a grenade. In a sense that's kind of what Tiago was thrown... It's in some cases a bit of miracle, but in our world, even if you overachieve, it can still be disappointing to people... As far as I'm concerned, Tiago did an amazing job."
