The concept for Endographics began with this infographic I made for #EndometriosisAwarenessMonth. After it went viral across the world, I wanted to create more infographics to spread awareness about #endometriosis. March is #EndometriosisAwarenessMonth. I created this infographic hoping to educate others on #endometriosis. Statistically, someone you know is suffering, and it's highly likely she’s unaware that what she’s experiencing isn’t “normal”. Please share to help spread awareness.
@PapaDoc_MD @jfitzgeraldMD Using NIH funding data (a large excel sheet you can download and linked in the sources on the website), please show me which diseases those are and how they break down per person for federal spending, using census data and CDC statistics for rate of occurrence. Then let’s chat.
Discriminatory funding practices continue for endometriosis & other women's diseases.
For every person affected by endometriosis in 2023, $1.25 goes to research, compared to $42 per person affected by diabetes. Both occur at rates of 10%.

@TexanExiled I actually looked into this and could not find any data on the NIH website for research funding. My guess is because the funding is now related to pharmaceuticals (for which there was some data but from different funding sources) instead of research.
We all know that funding is a major issue for endometriosis, a #womenshealth condition that affects more than 1 in 10 women worldwide. The following infographic provides a comparative look at the discriminatory practices in federal funding of #endometriosis.
@winnnerva@adaecestatal Hola, gracias por escribir. Desafortunadamente no soy doctora y no puedo dar ningún consejo médico. Lo que le recomiendo es ir a una consulta, pero si no le cayó bien la última consulta y algo no siente “normal” en su cuerpo, busque una opinión secundaria. Suerte 💕
Although there is no cure for #endometriosis, laparoscopic surgery is the recommended course of treatment. There are two types of surgery for endometriosis: ablation and excision. This infographic highlights the differences between the two. #endowarrior#womenshealth
