Now I lay me down to sleep....
My last night in a private room and a comfortable bed for the foreseeable future. I know there is an ‘other side’ of this, but I can’t even imagine that right now. All I can see is what is directly in front of me.
And that is ok.
Not all those accused or convicted of a sex offense are terrible people. Some of us just made bad decision after bad decision that eventually created the circumstances that led to our offense. Lumping us all into a monstrous category doens’t help anyone or keep anyone safer.
Today has been pretty surreal. Getting everything lined up so I can go to prison is not something I thought I’d ever be doing. I got hooked into internet porn and it escalated into illegal stuff. I hate it. I regret it. But I have to face the consequences.
A study on sex crimes indicated: 93% of child sexual abuse victims knew their abuser; 34.2% were family members; 58.7% were acquaintances; Only 7% were strangers; 40% take place in the victim’s home; 20% in the home of friend, neighbor or relative (Jill Levenson, PhD, Lynn Univ) https://t.co/DNa5IVXx5Z
By Sandy . . . We’ve all read the testimonials. He was arrested for embezzlement, but he was a good husband, devoted father, and active community leader. She was discovered to be part of a fraudulent... https://t.co/Ym5U56j95h
One of the hardest things for anyone to do is to listen to something that goes completely against the grain of what we think we know. I know it's hard for me. But one true sign of intelligence is the ability to challenge your own thinking, and to employ critical thinking.
It's wonderful that we've "leveled up" with over 1000 followers now (not bad for just 45 days on Twitter!) but we can do so much more if you'll recommend @RegistryReport to your friends and followers! 😉

#Consent isn't as simple as you think. Have you ever had sex while drunk? Was your partner drunk? Then one or both of you committed a #sexcrime and could have been charged and put on the #SORegistry! Consent cannot legally be given under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Yes, let's ensure that our view of the defendant is completely one-dimensional. These people weren't "defending" the accused, they were trying to help you see a human being in front of you, not a caricature. https://t.co/6bjkTsR82M
This is exactly what happened to me. And now my life wil never be the same.
One of the ways I’ll spend the rest of my life is helping men who have this same struggle, to stop their habit before it goes too far. https://t.co/C30OD5nM1M

In my particular case, two individuals were jailed without charges for FIVE MONTHS as "material witnesses" in order to compel their unwilling testimony. You may have the right not to incriminate yourself, but no such right when it comes to compelled speech about another. https://t.co/qImGQiuOHY
RT @KatMurti: Sex crime includes a streaking kid or a 17-year-old that consensually sleeps w/a 15-year-old, & public urination. All those people are sex offenders for life—& it hurts the ability to stop real crime @PatNolan4Justic#FreedomFest#cjreform
