@formerhairmodel By & large, my most insufferable clients have been RN’s, but I just snuck a distemper/parvo booster into a 5-yr old shep mix whom we hadn’t vaccinated since puppyhood…
(The husband has turned vociferously antivax, but I called his wife with lab results & she OK’d it 👍)

@DanFriedman81 @Distant_Warrior I cannot tell you how many clients over my 36+ yrs of veterinary practice have asked me why the process can’t be as peaceful for us? when I perform a euthanasia
I always warn them there may be some gasps & twitches, but the process is painless as their animal is already asleep.

@MissB53 I’m down to an OMAD routine most days as my weight slowly creeps downward. The “hack” a gym bro influencer recommended: Greek yogurt w/protein powder for BF lasted exactly 1 day for me!
A.) I ate too much yogurt as a young adult; it did not sound good to me
B.) Starving by 10 AM!

She actually had to get a doctor’s note of infertility to prove she could keep on working

Women in the 1950s and 60s did mostly stay home to look after the husband, children and home. Men worked hard and often did 2 jobs, 6 days a week.

That's the way it was. You can't rewrite history because you don't agree with how it was then. It happened. It was the usual way of things. And we didn't moan about it. We're from a generation who just got up and got on with it. Try it sometime. It might get you a bit of respect.

Then when she found herself pregnant with me, she worked as long as she could & then worked night shifts so she & my dad could trade off baby care…
When I was 2’ish, dad had found a good stable job with GMAC & she was able to take a few years off (ha!) to be a SAHM

“Return to MD Anderson” after almost 10 yrs: drove down for my 10-pt checkup (full round of testing w/bloodwork, MRI & CT scans), so far bending over backwards on the “customer service” - they are combining my neck & abdomen CT so I won’t have to drink that contrast crap twice

In years past, I seemed to have a personality conflict w/Dr Sherman
He & I had years of arguments: he pushed me to reduce my Synthroid dosage as my T4 edged up “too high” despite my explanations that I NEEDED it at that level just to get out of bed in the morning
