He was arrested on January 15, 2026, in Pakdasht, Tehran. The regime has accused him of premeditated murder, acting against national security, and destroying public property—charges that human rights advocates have repeatedly warned are often used to silence dissent.

Another detainee they planned to hang suffered a heart attack on the way and is now in hospital under heavy security watch.

Security forces transferred Alireza Sepahi from the hospital to Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan.

The Islamic Republic had planned to publicly execute this political prisoner on Tuesday, alongside two others detained during the January protests, in Isfahan’s Alikhani Square.

He suffered a heart attack before the execution could take place.

This is the fear the terrorist Islamic Republic has of the Iranian people.
