Mixing studies made easy - prolonged aPTT ? cause

Mix 1/2 patient + 1/2 control plasma. If factor deficiency in patient plasma, corrected by normal plasma -> aPTT corrects.

If factor antibody (or lupus anticoag) in pt plasma, inhibits factors in control -> aPTT doesn't correct
