@Honeybadgermom Unless the recording is done in a private space, it's legal. In July 2023, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in Project Veritas v. Schmidt that Oregon's prohibition against unannounced in-person recording violates the First Amendment in places open to the public.
@UTScooter@BoCamaro Hearing the story behind the story, overlooked issues to the headlines and obtaining all information before I draw conclusions is why I'm on X.
@EricLDaugh There’s a big difference: ICE agents who use force do so in lawful self-defense, which is justifiable. When illegal immigrants commit intentional, unjustified killings, that is straight-up murder.
@PNWConservative@chrisreykdal Algerian boxer Imane Khelif has the XY chromosome, was eventually banned from the Olympics. This is so rare and worth the discussion. What he's talking about is not biological, it's not science it's not the 1 in 5,500 Khelif situation.
@SarahisCensored My guess: it'll be ruled a valid tactical decision and not IAC. He received the benefit of not having prior bad acts introduced, so he can't complain about it now.
@lsferguson I like your posts, but you're slightly off. 30% OF the housing increase is attributable to illegals. Housing did not go up 30% BECAUSE of illegals. Details matter in healthy debates.
@WallStreetApes Kinda mixed on this one. How many teenagers won't commit suicide because they can receive confidential mental health without their parents' involvement?
@dnapway One outlandish premised after another in this video. California is a "donor" state, meaning it pays significantly more in federal taxes than it receives back in federal spending. Their budget is a separate issue.
@bwj43497@WallStreetApes From an accounting perspective, the $30k in tables would be under assets, where they were looking. Repairs/replacement parts would not be listed under assets.
@michaelandanneb@UltraDane Less likely to be appealed as excessive. Did you notice how she praised his attorney, further reducing his action at IAC. 50% minimum must be served. It was fair for armed robbery.
@copswildingout@UltraDane Texas requires a minimum of 50% of the sentence to be served before being eligible for parole. He will serve a minimum sentence of 12.5 years for armed robbery. CTS is required. Given his history in jail, actually getting out in 12.5 is unlikely.
@ModLibFromOH@FarmerH79709@libsoftiktok You make intelligent arguments; however, the Harvard study is sus. 30 year study. LA/SF/PDX/SEA since '20 have defunded police, don't/under-report crime and have had increases in both homelessness and crime. It doesn't prove causation.
@QuantumGuard17 Florida 800.04(7), a person commits a 2° felony (lewd or lascivious exhibition) by intentionally masturbating, exposing genitals lewdly, or committing other non-contact sexual acts "in the presence of a victim who is less than 16 years of age"; child must see or sense acts.
