Volunteering as a STEM Ambassador in schools is one of the most rewarding parts of my career. Both @ICE_engineers and @STEMLearningUK always need new ambassadors - learn more https://t.co/DgGu7Gjt43 and https://t.co/c2ZTwfOoBD #STEM#civilengineering
I'm working on an article about integrated transport - are there any cities around the world who are connecting all the different transport modes together particularly well? If so, how are they doing it? I'd be interested to learn more.

Tonight's task is writing about safety barriers, or vehicle restraint systems. I've had to swot up using the new Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, which had a major update in March. It looks great, but thank goodness for the search function as nothing is where I remember 😅😆
Writing about swept path analysis today. #Highway engineers use this to check that vehicles have enough room to manoeuvre within a given space, like a car park. I used to love doing these - you actually simulate driving a vehicle around your design in CAD. Good times. ☺
Just added an audio pronunciation to my #LinkedIn profile – thanks @espirian for the tip! 👍🏻 I don’t like to make a big deal of it, but I much prefer my name to be pronounced 🇬🇧 Tarn-ya / 🇨🇦 Tawn-ya, not TAN-ya. Though I’ll take anything halfway polite, to be fair 😜
A couple weeks ago, I was supposed to attend @Traffex Seeing is Believing, which unfortunately couldn't go ahead this year. I've just registered for @HWYSUK's Highways UK in Nov - hopefully, this one will 🤞 #CPD Register here: https://t.co/ssHTIJ0j0P
Proof that you *can* earn money online from posting a few blogs. 😂 This is a bumper month for me actually; another one like this and I can treat myself to a celebratory Freddo next month 😜 #writing
Researching for a post I'm writing and found a post from the World Economic Forum which describes infrastructure assets as the least digitally transformed in the entire economy 😮 Having experienced firsthand the fragmented approach to highways maintenance, I can only agree. 1/2
@EditorSpice ☺️👌🏻 Glad to see a common data environment being used for collaboration and control. I think major projects are ahead of the game compared to day-to-day maintenance, which is still designed in 2D and uploaded to an online portal.
