Are we just going to continue to watch these half wits continue in their ways?? Because in what universe are you even allowed to say this to a stranger you don’t know from Adam. You don’t know who placed the order, you don’t know if her friends told her they’re the ones hanging out, if for anything, she was given the address to deliver and it’s a public place. Who gave these bastards these kind of audacity exactly?? That you will see a woman and the first thing that comes to your mind is disrespect, are you mad????
A nation of professional complainers and part time cowards.
Everyday, you people will come on this app to lament that MTN is stealing your data.
Someone finally decides to actually do something about it instead of sitting down to cry like is common with Nigerians.
And all she's asking is for you people to help her sign a petition and provide more evidence that she can use in this fight.
And what do Nigerians do?
They ignore her and act like they're all suddenly too wealthy to care now.
Just 10k signatures, and it's been over 2 days already. Yet over 489k people have seen this tweet.
Tomorrow, you'll wonder why your country is the way it is.
Your leaders already know you're all a bunch of cowards who would rather sit on your hands and complain than demand accountability.
They know you'll never wake up from your sleep and fight for your rights.
Next thing, you'll start tagging Donald Trump to come and save you, like it was your grandfathers that helped them get America to where it is today.
Keep waiting for other people to come and save you, you hear?
Bunch of princesses.
It is only in Nigeria that I see people genuinely LOVE TO DEFEND THEIR OPPRESSORS‼️
And I genuinely want to understand why.
I’ve been subscribing to MTN 1TB plan since 2021.
When I started, I think it was around ₦90,000 and then it became ₦100,000. I would subscribe, and that 1TB would comfortably last me 10 – 11 months.
And I wasn’t exactly a light user.
I streamed Netflix and Prime video, my movies I download with 1080p. I’m constantly online, I never turned off my data.
At one point, I was even arguing with my friends who were buying Starlink.
I’d tell them, “Why are you buying Starlink? I have 1TB on MTN. I’m comfortable.”
You can see a screenshot below, I was defending MTN, I averagely consume 100GB per month, even at that rate, 1TB still last me for 10 Months.
Then MTN started eating data like there was no tomorrow.
The same 1TB that used to last me almost a year suddenly started struggling to last 4 – 6 months.
Now 100k can't even buy 1TB anymore lol.
Eventually, I switched to CSS Fiber at ₦21,500 and I get unlimited internet for a month and I even get a faster internet than MTN had ever given me.
So when I come to the comments and see Nigerians defending MTN, I genuinely don’t understand it.
- “Check your Google Photos.”
- “Your apps are running in the background.”
- “Maybe you’re streaming too much.”
Okay.
Let’s assume all of that is true.
Why can't we ALSO hold MTN accountable for the fact that their data now disappears significantly faster than it used to?
Why do we always rush to find excuses for these companies instead of demanding that they investigate the problem?
Nobody is saying your phone doesn't consume data.
Nobody is saying background apps don't consume data.
The question is: Why has the experience changed so drastically?
Because I know what my data usage used to look like and I know what it looks like now.
MTN knows too.
Yet instead of asking them questions, Nigerians will start doing detective work on behalf of a multibillion naira company. 😂 Same company that's turning over Billions in profit every year.
- Network they don't give you.
- Subscription fees has been increased.
- Airtime and Data is running like water.
Yet, some bloody twats are still defending their OPPRESSORS.
And this is bigger than MTN.
It is the same mentality I see when people talk about Lagos being dirty or smelling.
Instead of saying, “Yes, maybe it's not every part of Lagos, but the government can do better,” people immediately start defending Lagos.
- “Other states are worse.”
- “It doesn't smell everywhere.”
- “Go back to your state”
Why can't we simply hold our government accountable and demand better?
Even if Lagos isn't the worst city in the world, it can still improve.
Even if MTN isn't the only reason your data is disappearing, they can still be held accountable for the quality and value of their service.
Accountability isn't hatred, if you criticise a company you pay for doesn't mean you hate the company.
Demanding better from your government doesn't mean you hate your country.
It means you know you deserve better.
But Nigerians will defend these institutions with their whole chest, even when they are the ones paying for the service and receiving the short end of the stick.
And that's the part I genuinely don't understand.
Why are we so quick to defend the people THAT ARE OPPRESSING YOU?
Why do we look for EXCUSES FOR THEM before we even ask them to do better?
WHY DO NIGERIANS LOVE DEFENDING THEIR OPPRESSORS?
YOU KNOW WHAT GENUINELY TERRIFIES ME?????!!!!
The Nigerians who have lived/ visited abroad.
They’ve seen uninterrupted electricity.
They’ve driven on roads that don’t kill people.
They’ve experienced healthcare that treats you before asking if you can afford to live.
They’ve seen governments that actually work for the people.
Then they come back home…
…and tell 230 million people to be grateful for the barest minimum.
It genuinely breaks my heart.
Because once you’ve seen what a working system looks like, how do you return and convince people that suffering is normal?
How do you applaud failure just because it favours you?
The tragedy of this country isn’t only the people who don’t know any better.
It’s the people who do know better…
…and still teach everyone else to expect less.
That is exactly why we are where we are 💔💔💔
These are people who have no fresh air to breathe.
These are people who don’t have clean and clear water to drink.
These are people who have to wake up 4am every morning to beat traffic to work, while we others are still asleep.
This is a city with arguably the highest crime rate in Nigeria.
These are the ONLY people living with the risk of waking up one morning under the Atlantic Ocean.
This is a city were Tinubu comes from.
This is the only city in Nigeria where you find landlords who build toilets in kitchens and charge 5M/year for 2-bedroom apartments.
Lagosians talk too much for people living like savages and smiling cos “it is the commercial hub or the country”.
A people with absolutely ZERO sense of correct self assessment.
Now that you people are done with your akara Ai content here is my take.
Tinubu and his wife does not rate Nigerians because we are foolish, both the educated and uneducated. You guys talked about Olodo uprising but you are the real Olodo, this woman made a fool of everybody and you guys turned it into a joke, something that should create range and anger became a thing of fun.
At least the past generation will hit radio stations and television stations to insult them in anger but we have both radio and television on our palm which is phone, instead of cursing her out, you took it like a normal thing and hit Ai and on tripod to start creating content with it.
We deserve this government because we are stup!d and take everything for granted.
Just know that Social media money cannot fix the country, if a country is doomed, its citizens are doomed. You cannot trend your way out of a broken system.
Elon musk money, YouTube, Facebook and TikTok money can’t save you, if the ship sinks, everyone on board goes down with it, so keep creating a niche out of our misery.
@viktorbensonyt This is silly
How some of you project the silly assumptions in your head on other people is silly
You are not even calling it a possibility or attaching a probability ratio in your fragile assumptions to it
You are making a " did you know" statements with your assumption
They are not the same.
Khaby Lame’s content is him basically exposing dumb contents/decisions by showing the obvious way to do things.
Peller is on a live stream crashing cars for content and inviting MSc holders for a job interview just to ridicule them on a live stream for his audience.
The clout whores. The content strumpets.
No line they won't cross. No shred of moral restriction.
No consciousness of proxified humanity.
Horrid hollow enclaves whose only driving compass is the smell of mint.
Irrevocably depraved abominations.
That particular Sunday night when I rushed my Ijaw woman to the hospital because labour has kicked in. After the doctors reviewed her, they said give or take she will deliver in the next 24hrs or less.
I sent a message to the office about the situation. After 24hrs, nothing! I saw my wife begged for life because of labour pain 😩😩….And in all of the pain, she kept telling ‘we will be fine’
I just called office to inform them about the situation & someone was saying ‘we need this report, that report & this comms needs to go out’….. I just said okay.
Put my phone on flight mode and that of my wife’s for the next 72hrs. From Sunday 11th of August 2024 as at 11:30pm to Wednesday 14th of August 2024 at 5:45pm when she eventually delivers our beautiful Dabz. I eventually became reachable on the 15th of August 2024 the next day.
Someone asked me ‘Augustine, na wa oh! You went MIA for 72hrs….’
I told him: When e reach your turn, leave your wife inside labour room to face it alone you hear!👂
THE END.
@officialABAT Dear incompetent old man, please resign before they kidnap everybody in Nigeria.
Bola, please resign
Ahmed, please resign
Tinubu, please resign
Seyi Tinubu, tell your papa to resign
Remi Tinubu, tell your husband to resign.
I actually need to leave this place
You people can continue buying your 25k pads and 22k akara
Keep going on shows for people to find out if you’re lapo or Nepo
Actually finish yourselves with tribalism
And keep voting for tinubu until 2056
I’m actually tired, there is no nonsense yall won’t defend or welcome
This man has been a retribution to everyone who thinks political strategy and coalitions is more important than the very act of governing.
That a thief and drug baron is better than a man who made wealth with enterprise.
Tribalism and religion have been so weaponised, how many deaths of your country men will it take for you to acknowledge this government is an unprecedented failure of monumental scale?
You cannot rehabilitate a person that beheads a person.
You cannot rehabilitate someone that offs people for sport.
You cannot rehabilitate someone that kidnaps and rapes children.
I’ve spent the past couple of weeks building Looters: a public archive of Nigerian political corruption since the 1990s.
Governors, ministers, shell companies, Swiss accounts, the Jersey trusts, — one searchable graph.
