Right then.
Let me explain something very slowly, because it appears some basic logic has gone missing somewhere over the Atlantic.
No serious nation in the history of warfare has spent fourteen months insulting its allies, threatening to annex their territory, siding with their common enemy, and then knocked on their door expecting them to come running to rescue a catastrophe of its own making. That is not how alliances work. That is not how anything works.
You abused the UK. You threatened Canada. You tried to grab Greenland. You called the EU an adversary. You praised Putin, the one man every serious NATO ally has spent decades preparing to fight. You hosted Kremlin officials in the Capitol. You undermined European elections. You abandoned Ukraine. You imposed tariffs on your closest partners. You did all of this loudly, proudly, and on camera.
And now you are surprised that nobody is returning your calls.
Here is a question worth sitting with. Why do you think that is? Is it possible, just possible, that when you treat your allies like enemies for over a year while cuddling up to their actual enemy, those allies might update their opinion of you? Is that concept too complicated? Does that require more working memory than is currently available?
You did not plan this war with your allies. You did not consult them. You did not build a coalition. You started a conflict, watched it go sideways, and then got on your knees asking for help from people you spent fourteen months calling weak, corrupt and irrelevant.
NATO is not what it was. Not because Europe changed. Because Washington made crystal clear which side it is on. And it is not ours.
You want European boots on the ground? Start by explaining why America is more aligned with Moscow than with Brussels. Take your time. We will wait.

Bruce Springsteen on Trump: “I couldn't care less what he thinks about me. He's the living personification of what the 25th Amendment and impeachment were for. If Congress had any guts, he'd be consigned to the trash heap of history."
RETWEET if you stand with @Springsteen!
Grateful for what, exactly? Let Mr. Hegseth count the ways.
1.Abandoning Ukraine mid-war
2.The Greenland annexation fantasy
3.Tariffs on allies who still answer the phone
4.A defense secretary with no defense experience
5.Withdrawing from the Paris Agreement. Again.
6.Gutting USAID while calling it efficiency
7.The trade war with Canada
8.Recognizing Crimea as Russian territory
9.Pulling out of the WHO during a health crisis
10.Threatening to leave NATO
11.Cosying up to every autocrat with a decent golf course
12.The collapse of US soft power in under 90 days
13.Alienating the EU faster than Brexit managed
14.Signal-gating classified war plans to a journalist
15.Deploying the military to arrest migrants at the border
16.Defunding public broadcasting
17.Handing Elon Musk the keys to federal spending
18.Ending birthright citizenship by executive order
19.Firing the inspectors general who were watching all of the above
20.And now – a war in Iran nobody asked for, going exactly as well as you’d expect
You’re welcome, world.

Incredible how Trump has lost all international authority.
Nobody abroad takes any of his statements seriously, because he lies all the time, knows no facts & changes his views ever so often.
What a tragedy for the US to have such a defect president.
Countries around the globe are rejecting Trump's "demand" in helping to resolve the crisis he fabricated in the Strait in Hormuz. Whether it is Europe, Asia, Australia or elsewhere, the rejection is almost unanimous.
However, there was one country which not only offered help right from the beginning, but also actually has sent help. It has been Ukraine. And this is how Trump responded:
"The last person we need help from is Zelenskyy!"
I don’t see how a stable partnership can be achieved with the USA while this man sits in the White House. The US Congress, which could mitigate a lot of damage, is absolutely feckless. I absolutely understand why virtually no government is willing to risk the life of a single soldier on what Trump might „feel in his bones“.
I call on the outgoing prime minister to immediately stop spreading fear. I urge him not to attempt to instill fear in our fellow Hungarians for cynical campaign purposes.
If this were not a cheap, pre-planned campaign tactic but a real danger, @PM_ViktorOrban — as the responsible head of government — would long ago have invited me, as leader of the largest opposition party, for a briefing so that we could take joint action to protect our homeland and its security, especially if allied assistance were required.
I call on Viktor Orbán: if he has any credible information about a threat to Hungary’s national security, he should not communicate through social media or propaganda channels, but should instead immediately turn to NATO and request the activation of Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty - just as Poland did in September 2025.
This article allows a member state to bring a matter before the North Atlantic Council, NATO’s principal political decision-making body. Consultations are then held to determine whether a member state’s territorial integrity, political independence, or security is under threat.
Viktor Orbán still has 44 days left as prime minister, but in reality he is no longer governing. Each day he sinks deeper into lies, incitement, and threats against his fellow citizens.
Does anyone truly believe that Ukraine — which has been at war with Russia for four years and is seeking to join NATO — would now threaten NATO?
Under a TISZA government, there will once again be order, peace, and security in Hungary. The government will not frighten its own citizens, but will act when necessary and unite the nation.
BREAKING: Music legend Bruce Springsteen just released this incredible song that will be sure to piss Trump off beyond belief.
“Streets of Minneapolis”.
He wrote this song about Alex Pretti and Renée Good Saturday and recorded it yesterday.
Share it far and wide and play it as loud as you can
🚨NEW: Singer Neil Young is boycotting Amazon Music due to Jeff Bezos's support for Trump and has gifted his entire catalog to the nation of Greenland!
RETWEET to thank @NeilYoung for standing up for our democracy!
NEW: Republican Chris Madel announced he’s ending his run for Minnesota governor, saying he cannot support the national GOP’s “stated retribution on the citizens of our state, nor can I count myself a member of a party that would do so.”
“United States citizens, particularly those of color, live in fear. United States citizens are carrying papers to prove their citizenship. That’s wrong,” Madel said.
The problem isn't Trump. The problem is the US.
When the outside world observes Trump's insane behaviour and his threats against allies, and we at the same time observe that there is no real action from the US public, Congress, the US Supreme Court, or the US media about this insanity, we will all have to conclude that the US accepts this behaviour.
The public in the US think the US is entitled to a certain position in the world where there is no room for decent behaviour and where there are no norms and rules.
That means that we all have to conclude that the US — not only Trump — has betrayed the international order that the US, with its Western partners, were the main architects of after the Second World War.
This is the conclusion that Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney so clearly laid out in his speech at Davos yesterday. We simply cannot trust the US to play by the rules any more. Therefore, we also fundamentally have to ask ourselves — should we trust the financial and economic structure which is an integral part of the global rules-based order?
Americans live in the illusion that the US can do everything on its own, despite the fact that the US for nearly 20 years has lived beyond its means.
US private and government consumption has been funded by, among others, European central banks and pension funds. But we now have to ask ourselves — why would we trade in dollars? Why would we put our savings into US Treasury bonds?
If the US is not a rules-based society, we cannot trust the dollar to be a stable currency, and it would be insane to hold dollars. As domestic US institutions are eroded and governance structures destroyed, the US will be turned into an emerging market economy — or more accurately, a de-merging economy.
If the US threatens the territory of allies, then the US acts as an authoritarian bully nation. Nobody in their right mind would lend money to the US government. If the US doesn't live up to its international obligations and respect the sovereignty of other nations, why would we expect the US government to honour its debts?
If Trump can tariff nations that will not give up their territory, then there is certainly no reason to believe that the US will not introduce capital controls. And if that is a risk, why would you risk investing in the US?
It is not a question about Europe standing up to the US. It is a question about being prudent with our investments — about reducing risks.
Every day Trump remains in office, distrust of the US increases, and the cost for the US will go up day by day. And this is irreversible. It takes years to build trust, but you can destroy it by your actions in minutes.
Europe has now completely lost trust in the US. And so has Canada. It is up to the people of the US to demonstrate that Trump is an 'outlier', and it is up to the American people to stop him.
If you don't do that, we will have to assume that this is what the US is about — whether the name of the President is Trump or something else, whether the President is a Republican or a Democrat.
To President Donald Trump Jr.,
This video was sent to me by the girl’s mother, who asked me to share it on my X profile.
It was created by her 15-year-old daughter from Greenland 🇬🇱 as a message to you.
The Premier of Greenland has just posted the following on his Facebook page, accompanied by a photo of all members of Parliament (photo from 2025):
🇬🇱 I know that many people are following the situation closely. And I fully understand if there is concern.
That is why it is important to be absolutely clear.
Greenland is part of the Kingdom of Denmark and part of NATO through the Realm. This means that our security and defence belong within NATO. This is a fundamental and firm line.
In these years, there is significant international attention on our country. Also within NATO. That in itself is positive. Our country has strategic importance, and our security matters. To us. To our allies. And to stability in the Arctic.
Naalakkersuisut (Gov. of Greenland) will therefore work to ensure that the development of defence in and around Greenland takes place in close cooperation with NATO. In dialogue with our allies, including the United States. And in cooperation with Denmark.
We are a democratic society that makes our own decisions. And our actions are based on international law and the rule of law 🇬🇱
BREAKING: Fed Chair Jerome Powell stuns MAGA world by hitting back hard after Trump's corrupt prosecutors launched a sham investigation into him — exposing the invented "pretexts" used to target him.
The usually stoic Powell is done holding back...
"Good evening. On Friday, the Department of Justice served the Federal Reserve with grand jury subpoenas, threatening a criminal indictment related to my testimony before the Senate Banking Committee last June," Powell said in a video shared by the official Federal Reserve account on X. "That testimony concerned, in part, a multi-year project to renovate historic Federal Reserve office buildings.
"I have deep respect for the rule of law and for accountability in our democracy," Powell continued. "No one-certainly not the Chair of the Federal Reserve-is above the law. But this unprecedented action should be seen in the broader context of the Administration's threats and ongoing pressure."
"This new threat is not about my testimony last June or about the renovation of the Federal Reserve buildings," he went on. "It is not about Congress's oversight role. The Fed, through testimony and other public disclosures, made every effort to keep Congress informed about the renovation project."
"Those are pretexts," he said. "The threat of criminal charges is a consequence of the Federal Reserve setting interest rates based on our best assessment of what will serve the public, rather than following the preferences of the President. This is about whether the Fed will be able to continue to set interest rates based on evidence and economic conditions, or whether, instead, monetary policy will be directed by political pressure or intimidation."
"I have served at the Federal Reserve under four Administrations-Republicans and Democrats alike. In every case, I have carried out my duties without political fear or favor, focused solely on our mandate of price stability and maximum employment," he continued. "Public service sometimes requires standing firm in the face of threats."
"I will continue to do the job the Senate confirmed me to do-with integrity and a commitment to serving the American people. Thank you," concluded Powell.
Powell deserves the full-throated support of the American people. Trump's utterly corrupt Justice Department is targeting him simply because he has resisted lowering interest rates. Trump is desperate to lower those rates to bolster his failing White House. In that desperation he has launched an all-out attack on the Federal Reserve's independence.
Please ❤️ and share if you stand with Jerome Powell!
This week marks 15 years since I was shot. Watching the president and his administration target my husband for speaking out is beyond disappointing—it’s a disturbing abuse of power that should alarm every American.
