This morning in communion at #wdt18 we ran out of communion corn tortilla and then we invited folks to share theirs and ended up with leftovers and it was a real life feeding the 5000 and I believe in something divine that happens in community.

when you own land or investments, when you depend on the system to protect your way of life, of course you’ll vote more conservatively.

if you need to put your hope in something - go meet your neighbor. read the gospels of jesus in their true cultural context. hangout with someone who society has strategically placed walls up against. do some community organizing. read. educate.

Our county, under President Trump, is definitely headed in the wrong direction. But if you think a change in the balance of power at the mid-term electrons is going to solve things, you obviously don't understand our problems.
