In Tanzania, only 15-25% of primary and secondary schools provide sexuality education, and only 30% of health facilities offer youth-friendly services. Tanzanian adolescents total around 13 million, a population larger than that of entire countries such as Grecee 🇬🇷 , Portugal🇵🇹, the Czech Republic🇨🇿, Belgium🇧🇪, and Sweden🇸🇪.

Tanzanian adolescents are in greater need of sexual and reproductive health services now more than ever.
Tanzania Sexual and Reproductive Health Forum is supporting the Tanzanian government’s efforts to provide sexual and reproductive health rights to all Tanzanian youth.

Despite the challenges of geography, Tanzania has made remarkable progress in healthcare by reducing under-five mortality rate from 162.4 per 1,000 live births in 1999 to 43 in 2022 and maternal mortality rate from 556 per 100,000 live births in 2015/2016 to 104 in 2022.
Through innovation, strong partnerships, and investments in primary healthcare, we remain steadfast in our goal to achieve UHC.
