So let me make sure I’ve got all this right…

Centene, a massive healthcare company, overbilled Florida for prescription drugs through Florida Healthy Kids, a program that provides health insurance to low income children.

Florida was owed about $67 MILLION back.

That money was supposed to be returned to the state for the Florida Healthy Kids program…

But it all didn’t make it back…$10 MILLION gets directed to Casey DeSantis Hope Florida Foundation instead.

DeSantis Wife then sends $5 million each to two nonprofits….

Those nonprofits then use $8.5 MILLION of that money to fund the political fight against Amendment 3…the initiative that would have legalized recreational marijuana in Florida.

And Ashley Moody was Florida Attorney General when her office approved the original settlement containing that $10 million payment to Hope Florida…corrupt as hell.

DeSantis later appointed Ashley Moody to the United States Senate…

So now a Florida grand jury says the DeSantis administration misappropriated that $10 MILLION!!! Huge news!

So why no criminal charges?

Because the grand jury said there wasn’t enough evidence to charge a specific person criminally….

They could follow what happened to the money, but couldn’t establish who specifically made the decision strongly enough to indict anyone. So no accountability as usual.

Money recovered because a healthcare company overbilled a program that provides insurance to Florida kids. $10 million gets diverted to a foundation tied to the governor’s wife. $8.5 million ultimately gets used to fight marijuana legalization.

And now a Florida grand jury says the $10 million was misappropriated…but they couldn’t establish who was criminally responsible for making it happen.
