Rural schools and city schools require different messaging.
Rural school: talk to every family as if you're going to be seeing them at the grocery store for the next 20 years.
City school: focus on grabbing attention.
A higher density of ads requires a higher dose of originality.

Project-based learning is a continuum.
One experience is very unstructured and aims for discovery. The other extreme is something like a chemistry lab or a cookbook where there's a right answer. There's something in the middle that can lead to a lot of learning.

It seems that softer value propositions such as a 'whole-child education' or describing a warm family-like environment resonate less in an online world.

That said, schools need to fight back to avoid commodification.
