Step# 🤷♀️, process movie into manageable size. Stare at for hours looking for interesting cell behaviors. Share on twitter! Fin. #drosophila#midgut#liveimaging
With sorrow, we (@Stanford_MCP@SSBiophysics) share news that our friend & colleague, Bill Weis, passed away Oct 13,2023. Among many other reasons, he is missed for his discoveries, mentoring, and for the gift of his incisive intellect, wry wit, & kindness. RIP.
Congrats to Alex on his Notch paper published in Science Signaling! Special thanks to our fantastic team - Emily, Lena, Drew, Julia and collaborators. Click here to read the paper. https://t.co/9vEIE9Li9e
This is totally, totally bitchin’ and just one more example of why Lucy O’Brien and her entire team are just stone cold badasses. https://t.co/890q71CoJS
DATASHEET: See how the Opto® Memory B Discovery Rabbit Workflow on the #Beacon® system enables rapid selection of lead molecules by screening of #Bcells from immunized animals in under 1 week. #antibodydiscovery#monoclonalantibodies#drugdiscovery

This machine can do in a day something that took a couple of years during my PhD.
Isolating individual antibody-producing B cells from the spleen of an immunised animal. It’s then reasonably straightforward to produce antibodies at scale.
No more hybridoma clones 🧬 🧠
This is probably the most reason for optimism I have read all year
mRNA Vaccinated people do not have the autoimmunity that unvaccinated people get as a result from Covid infection

Wow what a cool method for shipping cells without dry ice! And I think the medium used is similar to what we’ve used for #drosophila gut live imaging…🤔 @LOBrienLab
Better late than never- this method for sending cells worked an absolute treat (Edinburgh to Cambridge, thanks to @HeatherLov_e and Tamsin who is not on Twitter). So much more green, too 👍

@AudoDenis @NuriaMelisaMor1 True! Making graphics more accessible often makes them better for everyone. The black/white combination can be quite straining for some people- you can just switch them for very dark grey and off-white!
