Ballynahatty in County Down is an astonishing site that deserves to be far better known for what it tells us about Neolithic timber monuments. A newly published report seeks to reconstruct the monument's original appearance, as Chris Catling reports.

It was great to hear @Ellenocarrol_Ha talk about some of the environmental analysis of ecofacts retrieved from @IACArchaeology excavations along the N4 Collooney to Castlebaldwin scheme in #Sligo on behalf of @TIINews at the @Env_Arch_Ire conference.
Very interesting talk by @Lornacarr1 at the @Env_Arch_Ire conference on her research into post-medieval wood use in Ireland, with a focus on two @IACArchaeology excavations in #Blackpitts and #Newmarket in #Dublin by @d_mcilreavy. Reused imported ship and structural timbers.
