This year Earth Overshoot Day landed in July 29 which is nearly a month earlier. This is mainly attributed to the coronavirus pandemic and its after effects. From that date onwards, we have entered the last 4 months of 2021 in a resource deficit.
#EarthOvershootDay #2021
Earth Overshoot Day marks the day for that particular year when the world has used up all its resources the Earth has to offer for the year. It marks the date when humanity’s demand for ecological resources and services in a given year exceeds what Earth can regenerate in
This has adverse impacts on the environment as well as its people. As the resources are used up faster, this means that there aren’t enough resources to meet the demands of all individuals.
