@ESA_EO@CopernicusEU Congratulations @esa ! Great to see the successful launch of #Sentinel1 🛰️🚀🇪🇺Where will the first data be acquired? We vote for Pine Island Glacier in West Antarcitca!
The Vega-C launcher carrying @CopernicusEU#Sentinel1 C is now space-bound!
The rocket will place the satellite in a Sun-synchronous orbit at an altitude around 690 km.
#VV25
While we wait for the Vega-C launch, some pictures from yesterday.
Copernicus #Sentinel1 C is sitting tight at the top of the 35-m tall rocket, ready for next attempt!
#VegaC launch update:
During standard launch preparations, there was a mechanical issue preventing the withdrawal of the mobile gantry and the launch chronology was stopped.
The launcher and its passenger @CopernicusEU#Sentinel1 C satellite are in stable and safe conditions.
Liftoff is now scheduled no earlier than 5 December 21:20 GMT/22:20 CET.
