Played well again yesterday (and was great last season under Carrick) but people have decided he’s a massive problem just because he’s not Lewis Hall. He’s still a good player
All these things are paid propaganda against United to puncture the belief of the gullible fans so they can begin to turn on the manager and team by amplifying what shouldn't be.
The league does not want a dominant United like the Fergie days because it kills the competition. So what do they do? They try to engineer a civil war within the fanbase which will in turn affect how the team moves because of the media circus around United.
They did it with Ole and succeeded, seeing what Carrick is building is beginning to attract that fear again, so they are back to their old playbook.
Xabi Alonso’s team conceded possession in the first two games despite the win, yet we all know the future plan is to dominate possession. Can you name me the style of play you’ve seen from Chelsea the first two games? How about Iraiola what’s his style of play based on the first two games? Ok how about De Zerbi?
Paid pundits like him do very little research before they speak, he didn’t even know we play Everton next week not Man City.
United are the only club who could score 5 goals, have 60% possession, 30+ shots, and MOTD spend several minutes looking at an incident even the opposition manager conceded should have been a goal according to the rules of the game, as if it’s some key talking point 😂
For anyone who was there yesterday they will have known it was absolutely biblical for about 20-30 mins. No stadium roof is dealing with that, never seen any issues with normal rainfall. However it’s Manchester United so obviously draws attention
For 10+ YEARS, United fans said our players from the 90s and 00s deserved more individual awards and Team of the Year selections because they were WINNING LEAGUES, playing the most big games and going deep in the Champions League.
Response? “Team achievements don’t make someone individually better!”
Now Bruno Fernandes wins all the player awards?
“Where are the league titles?”
“What has he done in the Champions League?”
“What about the biggest games?”
😂😂😂😂
So the criteria we weren’t allowed to use for United legends is suddenly the criteria being used against Bruno?
At least TRY to keep the standards consistent.
😂😂😂 a snarky little bastard about anything Utd related! Going by his own theory he hardly played in a meaningful PL game his whole career bar one season maybe
Interesting that @CallawayGolf asks us to make an ad then approves it then asks us to take the fall then drops us in a coordinated media blitz and covers it up by giving a million dollars away thinking everyone will be ok with it. 30 for 39 will be legendary.
We have completely lost the plot on accountability vs. cancellation……..
The Good Good Golf video missed the mark. I didn’t necessarily like it, but watching the entire video I could see the creative brief. But, I wouldn’t have posted it. And saying that does not require believing that “Good Good supports or is enabling domestic violence.” Like, are you kidding me?
Those are two VERY different statements.
A piece of creative can be bad. A joke can absolutely fail. Someone can make a poor decision. You acknowledge it, take accountability, apologize, learn from it and get better.
But we’ve somehow reached a place where one bad piece of content can turn into sponsors leaving, retailers pulling products and people questioning whether an entire organization should continue to have a place in the sport?
Are we actually being serious?
I’ve spent a lot of time with the people behind Good Good. They’re great humans who have created tremendous value for millions of fans and helped introduce an entirely new generation to golf.
That body of work should, and HAS to matter too. And should matter even MORE.
And there’s another uncomfortable reality about the internet… outrage is content. I’ll say it again, OUTRAGE IS CONTENT.
The people criticizing something are also rewarded with impressions, followers and engagement for criticizing it. That doesn’t make every criticism disingenuous. It does mean the loudest comments on the internet shouldn’t automatically become judge, jury and executioner for brands and people.
We need to get better at distinguishing between:
“That was a bad decision”… and… “Those are bad people.”
Accountability matters, but context and the greater body of work matters too.
I’m probably going to start being a little more willing to say that out loud moving forwards because this Good Good situation is absurd.
I will still watch @goodgood_golf and buy their stuff if it’s available and not because I support DV, but because I’m not ignorant enough to destroy people’s lives over a stupid ad that meant nothing. Who agrees? #GoodGood
