Strengthening BRICS Cooperation for Youth Empowerment!

Chaired the BRICS Youth Ministers’ Meeting in Visakhapatnam today.

Guided by PM Shri @narendramodi Ji and our youth-first approach during our BRICS Chairship, we have focused on creating platforms for dialogue, ideas and knowledge exchange among young leaders.

We welcome the consensus to build on the BRICS MoU on Cooperation in Youth Matters, 2025, and our Joint Statement across four thematic pillars, laying the foundation for sustained youth cooperation, exchange and opportunities across BRICS.

Held productive bilateral meetings with the honourable ministers from the UAE H.E. Sultan Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Federal Youth Authority and South Africa H.E. Ms. Sindisiwe Chikunga, Minister in the Presidency for Women, Youth and People with Disabilities on the sidelines of the BRICS Youth Ministers’ Meeting.

Our discussions focused on deepening youth engagement through institutional exchanges among young leaders, training institutions, and youth-led organisations. Our flagship initiatives including the MY Bharat platform and Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue were acknowledged by all as significant steps towards constructive youth engagement and empowerment.

We also discussed strengthening South-South cooperation under the BRICS framework, especially for the collective benefit of our youth.
