This is a recently updated light curve for C/2021 A1 (Leonard) by @giddgvb. It's kinda OK, with a magnitude of 4.7, including the forward scattering, at its peak. Maybe it gets better? I don't know, but I hope so!

For the Eagle Nebula shown here, I can start collecting photons at 2:30am from the backyard.

It's a tempting target on late April nights, and definitely one of the "heavy hitters" of the night sky.

If this is Leonard, then that could confirm that it will post a spectacular show when it becomes brightest. This wasn't a dark sky either.

Need help! do you guys think that this is C/2021 A1 Leonard next to the Blue Arrow? Here's a reference from @TheSkyLive from April 6th at 9:50 PM Eastern Time (The time when i took the pic)
