I threw my TV out the window of my second-story apartment in 2003. After that I used a projector to watch movies and play games.
Recently I returned to TV Land and bought this big-ass 85-inch thing to watch my Plex collection and play games on...
To my disgust it was absolutely full of bloat and horror: row upon row of things I didn't want to see, endless nonsense about promiscuous teens and gambling and lesbian witches, every manner of foul anti-human normgloid corposlop pumping into my hallowed space...
So I spent hours going through the menus, trying to see if I could switch things off. Eventually it turned out that there was a limit to this and I was to remain under assault from an unending barrage of absolute horror.
Also the whole thing was laggy and clunky. Utterly miserable.
Fast forward to October 2026. Last night I had a conversation with one of my robot assistants and after pasting a few things into terminal, I have now removed EVERYTHING from this machine that I bought that I do not want.
All that remains are the two apps I use, and a slick interface with revolving wallpapers drawn from movies in my collection that I have given 5 stars. It is fast as fuck.

5 years ago I saw this for the first time. I was luckily outside the city without any lights....I still vividly remember it. It was so beautiful
BREAKING: Tesla shared this image of Optimus in its latest letter to shareholders, with this message from Elon Musk:

I'm 62. I'm supposed to be slowing down and talking about the good old days of the internet. Instead I'm building new things with AI almost every day and having more fun than I did in 1995.
My kids now have to solve age appropriate math problems before each episode of Bluey, thanks to the miracle of AI reverse engineering and upgrading my TV 🔥🔥🔥
The homelab community will spend $6,000 on a server, 14 weekends configuring ZFS and enough electricity to heat a small village just to avoid paying Google $1.99 for storage.
And honestly I respect the hell out of it.
When I saw TV’s get vibecoded, I had to try.
I’m not just building a new OS for the TV itself, but I’m also building new UI’s for my favorite apps.
