Richard Hodges served as the Butrint Foundation's Scientific Director.
In 1999, Hodges served as Senior Advisor to Edi Rama, the Albanian Minister of Culture, in Tirana.
According to Hodges, the British created Albania following the Second Balkan War.

Epirus, Greece, 1944. Armed Albanian Chams are photographed with German soldiers. During the Occupation, the Muslim Chams of Thesprotia collaborated closely with the Axis forces. The EDES (National Democratic Hellenic League) under Napoleon Zervas clashed with them, culminating in the Battle of Menina (present-day Neraida) in August 1944, where both Germans and Chams were neutralized. After the Germans withdrew, the EDES expelled the Chams to Albania because of their crimes.

The #Arliotti/Αρλιώτη (or Arliotis) family of #Corfu was of #Epirote origin.
Like several families who eventually rose into the Corfiot aristocracy, their ancestors originally migrated to the island from the neighboring mainland region of Epirus.
The family initially belonged to the upper-middle-class urban citizens; then, in the 18th century (around 1791–1797), they secured their place in Corfu’s prestigious Libro d'Oro (the Golden Book of Nobility).
Arliotis became part of the Ionian intellectual elite, producing renowned scholars and jurists like Demetrio Arliotti.
Demetrio Arliotti was a highly educated classical scholar and contemporary who wrote the Biography of Greece's first governor, Count Ioannis Capodistrias.
Arliotti family is part of the Greek aristocratic elite of Corfu.

#Juno has nothing to do with Cherries but is the Roman equivalent of the Greek God Hera. Hera was primarily the goddess of marriage, women, childbirth, and family. She was the protector of the marriage bed and the legal bond between spouses.
The word Qershi (cherry) in Albanian comes from Greek #κεράσι and Latin, copied and pasted from Greek #cerasus. From Qershi(#κεράσι), comes Qershor (the month of June).
Albanians have made up months. They have no ancient myth or literature.

Italian author writes an article about this " Epirote fortifications at Monte Coppola? New interpretative proposals and some additional reflections on the expedition of Alexander the Molossian and on “Lucanian” Pandosia"
Monte Coppola (mountain Coppola) is almost universally identified by scholars as the site of the ancient, legendary Greek city of Lagaria (Λαγαρία).
According to ancient Greek tradition (recorded by Strabo), Lagaria was founded by Epeius, the legendary master-carpenter who built the Trojan Horse.
Antonio Pecci, who discussed the Epirote military techniques, proposes that Monte Coppola might actually be the lost location of Lucanian Pandosia.
Pandosia was another heavily fortified ancient city where King Alexander the Molossian was famously ambushed and killed.

A Caryatid with Rodakas. The Sun and Stars: Because of its radiating shape, the rodakas was heavily associated with solar energy, light, and the stars. To the Greeks, the perfect geometric balance of the rodakas represented cosmic order and the eternal movement of life. Rodakas were used in textiles, jewelry, and architecture.
When archaeologists discovered the solid gold larnax (burial chest) of the Macedonian royals at Vergina, the famous 16-rayed starburst on the lid featured a perfectly formed rodakas directly at its magic center, serving as the grounding "earth" or core from which the power rays erupted.

@DailyTurkst Actually, ancient Egyptians were white (picture on the left), and then the country was filled with other races that call themselves Egyptians. You can see it from their ancient skulls and lips. Small, tiny lips.
