October 24th, 2009: Iowa remains unbeaten after a game winning TD with no time left to beat Michigan State #Hawkeyes

HELL YEAH:

In 2002, Iowa dominated Minnesota 45-21 at the Metrodome and finished off an 8-0 conference record, clinching a share of the Big Ten title.

After the game, over 10,000 Hawkeye fans stormed their field. When Minneapolis PD tried to get them off the field, they swarmed to the south end zone and took down the goalpost then started parading around the stadium.

After a few laps, they took the goalpost apart and brought sections out of the exits. Only a small number of fans were arrested on property damage charges.

This remains a sore point in Minnesota’s football history and a legendary moment in Iowa’s.
