@RacingPedigrees For too long we’ve neglected the issues and we find ourselves in this position. Prize money is too top heavy making it hard for the regular owner. Top end rewarded all the time and the few benefit. Fewer buyers at sales makes for less competition. Industry on life support!!

@RacingPedigrees Fed up with the narrative that breeders are making all the money in the industry when it’s simply not true. People see the big results that are promoted but what about others that barely break even or don’t sell or can’t even get in a sale?

@RacingPedigrees The same breeders make money every year and the smaller breeders are lucky to break even never mind make a profit. Small to medium stud farms will disappear along with the small breeders. The crops will continue to decline and field numbers will plummet…..that’s the issue!!

Surely the only reason weight scale is being discussed is because most of the best colts get retired and fillies/mares are staying in training.

Over time I would still suggest there are more colts/geldings winning WFA races.

More important things to fix in racing than this!
