@mygulstad It means the binary for this specific beta version is only temporary. The next preview binary will overwrite it as itβs published at the same place.
Be assured EPUBCheck will most definitely keep being open source and freely available!

You only need to update if your were impacted by these issues! (we always recommend to keep updated, but understand it has an overhead cost π)
Reverting these checks is a proactive adoption of the relaxed rules of EPUB 3.3 π

@mygulstad We'll try to update it in September. The service is unfortunately not actively maintained and funded, so it's often put off for other priorities π (that's why it's often lagging behind the latest version!)
If you ever needed a list of epubcheck messages, made this yesterday evening: https://t.co/pyP6RGWv3J (with sortable tables)
More than willing to transfer the GitHub repo to someone with the bandwidth for maintaining it though.

@NicolasRobaux like explained in the issue referenced by @JiminyPan, this is a side effect of the new schemasβ¦ and yes updating the thread stack size is the recommended fix π
**edit**: EPUBCheck 4.2.1 is now the latest production-ready release.
If in doubt, always pick the version labelled "latest release" on our release page! https://t.co/Us29oRoAm2

It is a small maintenance release to fix a bug with the `doc-endnote` DPUB ARIA role (thanks Thiago de Oliveira Pereira for the report!) #epub#eprdctn
