7–11 sentyabr 2026-cı il tarixlərində Bakıda Azərbaycan Respublikasının ev sahibliyi və Xarici İşlər Nazirliyinin təşkilatçılığı ilə BMT-nin İqlim Dəyişmələri üzrə Çərçivə Konvensiyasının Dördüncü İqlim Həftəsi (CW4) keçiriləcək.

Eyni tarixlərdə Bakı İqlim Fəaliyyəti Həftəsi 2026 (BCAW 2026) də baş tutacaq. Tədbirlər iqlim qərarlarının praktiki icrası, beynəlxalq əməkdaşlıq və COP31 ərəfəsində iqlim fəaliyyətinin gücləndirilməsinə həsr olunacaq.

🇦🇿 Baku is becoming an important platform for the global climate agenda

From 7–11 September 2026, the Fourth UNFCCC Climate Week (CW4) will take place in Baku, hosted by the Republic of Azerbaijan and organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Baku Climate Action Week 2026 (BCAW 2026) will take place on the same dates, focusing on practical climate action, international cooperation and advancing implementation ahead of COP31.

During the High-level Forum on the Programme of Action on a Culture of Peace, held under the theme “Women’s Leadership to Promote a Culture of Peace,” #Azerbaijan reaffirmed its strong commitment to promoting a culture of peace, dialogue, and mutual understanding, both nationally and internationally.
In this context, Azerbaijan emphasized the importance of women’s greater involvement in the prevention and resolution of conflicts, as well as in activities promoting a culture of peace in post-conflict situations.
#Azerbaijan highlighted its experience in post-conflict recovery, including efforts to empower women and girls through the Great Return Programme. Azerbaijan also underscored its efforts to address the issue of missing persons and the challenges posed by extensive landmine contamination in conflict-affected territories, including through the establishment of pioneering female demining teams.

The 4th International Mine Action Conference is currently being held in #Azerbaijan 🇦🇿 under the theme “Humanitarian Demining for Urban Recovery: Setting Standards of Excellence for Safe Settlements”, bringing together over 400 delegates from 60 countries.

As stated by Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of the Board of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, “Azerbaijan has demonstrated strong national will and responsibility in addressing the landmine problem. Since November 2020, approximately $590 million has been allocated for humanitarian demining efforts in the country”.

Baku hosts 4th International Mine Action Conference
The 4th International Mine Action Conference on the theme “Humanitarian Demining for Urban Recovery: Setting Standards of Excellence for Safe Settlements”, co-organized by the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) and the United Nations Office in Azerbaijan, commenced in Baku on September 2.
The event will feature panel discussions on “Mine Action at the Foundation of Urban Reconstruction”, “International Cooperation and Donor Mechanisms to Support Safe Mine Action in Azerbaijan”, and “Humanitarian Demining for Resilient Communities”.
The conference is also expected to feature the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between ANAMA and the ASEAN Regional Mine Action Center.
The conference will conclude on September 3.
