My design process and source code. Notable technical decisions are;
Delta design for fees, informed guess on NR solvers to reduce no of iterations, Bisection for NR numerical stability and bit shifts for mul/div and powers of 2.

@olivebishop_dev@StanleyMasinde_ Hey. you can dioxus rust, a cross platform framework which gives you react feeling with rsx, which looks just like tsx. Also supports tailwind CSS.
@nut3case 😅I'm shocked too. I usually try hard to ensure declarative data governance by enforcing security controls from application code down to the database engine. RBAC + RLS + Application layer envelope encryption when zero trust is mandatory for PII... etc🙌
@dioxuslabs Congratulations. I did my first dioxus app and dx serve on local server last week, and I really love the work you guys are doing. Count another builder adopting your tool🔥🔥
@Javi_4B@decentra1ized_@andrescorreia Hey man, how was it?
Didn't get chance to hangout there, but I'm gonna be present for tomorrow and overmmorrow's session. I'm finishing up the HW.
@aryansinghtwts@TheWattenhofer@qkniep 😅 I'm wondering if I'm the only one who got lost at some point but at least I got the whole idea around it. Damn, leant a lot of stuff, skewed towards distributed computing.
I'm now checking on Firedancer🔥 Solana's future, Alpenglow + Firedancer is epic damn🔥🫡
Data is safely stored at rest encrypted in the #database. The encryption and decryption process is handled scalable at the app layer. Keys are managed externally. Even if the system or the #database is compromised, keys can't be recovered from their memories.
#rust with Actix-web. During user registration, the #vault generates a data encryption key(dek). It is encrypted by a Master encryption key(never leaves the vault). Clear text dek is used to encrypt the data and is destroyed. Encrypted data is stored with encrypted dek.
Transitioned my platform to app layer envelope encryption, that offers safety of critical data like healthcare PHI at rest, even if the #database is compromised.
#rustlang backend engineering for safe, high performance systems that meet regulatory standards.
When the app reads the data like above, encrypted dek is sent to the vault which uses the Key encryption Key or the master key that provides a clear text back to the app which the app uses to decrypt the encrypted fields safely and it's destroyed. #Rust#SoftwareEngineering
2. Shows example of fetching #data. First request fails as the application can't read the encrypted fields from the #db with corrupted key. Second one is an example of a successful request, where the system successfully deciphers the encrypted records.

1 shows the readiness/health status of the system. The system is only ready if redpanda(event streaming), HashiCorp Vault(the key management service that performs #cryptographic functions on data on the fly) and #postgresql are ready and the system can communicate to them.
@nut3case 😅 The problem changes as it scales and so the tradeoffs will. Not a single one will be correct across, but at least each will at one point be relevant at a particular instance of the solution process. For high performance, we'd love to have experience of the two worlds.
@nut3case You can combine both to get the benefits of both side, perhaps improved performance. Euclidean geometry approximations when distances are close enough and error margin is negligible and spherical geometry for accuracy over long distances.
@nut3case 😅 They actually do if you don't use it there, but not directly. That's the right tool there since you're dealing with a non euclidean geometry problem space.
They only don't for short distances when the error margin is negligible and sacrificing Pythagorean speed isn't logical.
@princedotrs@solana@solana_devs 🔥🔥 Very good illustration.
I also wrote a technical article about Stableswap, the AMM math behind stables or pegged assets. Pioneered by Curve Finance. I wrote a Solana protocol for it too and link to the code is there too

@sadkatwt Very nice. How do you find building in rust?
I've just built a tokio application with #RustLang this weekend. I've always loved the experience

#Rust weekend. High throughput pipeline with #rustlang and #tokio!
Pulls streams from redpanda, process if necessary, and persist into #postgresql. Malformed payloads are routed to DLQ.
