Today at the Worket Solutions Ltd offices, we had a powerful conversation with Alex Ogwal @AlexOgwal5 of Sign Language for All @signlanguage256 and representing all deaf people of Uganda on how we can leverage the Worket Jua Kali Project to expand opportunities for deaf persons.

We explored how their innovative application can help bridge the communication gap by connecting deaf people directly to employers, customers and clients—making skills, talent and enterprise more visible and accessible.

At Worket, we believe no skill should be hidden and no talent should be excluded because of disability. Through technology and strategic partnerships, we can build a more inclusive digital economy where every skilled person has a fair opportunity to work, grow and thrive.

Inclusion is not charity. It is opportunity. And technology can help us unlock it.

Uber is pulling out of Nigeria and Uganda as the ride-hailing giant restructures its global operations, cuts about 3,300 jobs and shifts more investment toward autonomous vehicles and robotaxis.
