NEMA HAS NOT FAILED TO EVICT TYCOON IN LAKE VICTORIA
Our attention has been drawn to a Weekend Vision article alleging that @nemaug has failed to evict tycoon from Lake Nalubale. This is to clarify that the Environment Restoration Order that was issued to the said developer was appealed and the law requires that action can only be taken upon disposal of the appeal. The Appeal is going through the due process and the public will know the outcome soon. It’s therefore not true that NEMA has failed. It should be noted that the people being removed have gone through full due process for more than a year since they received Environment Restoration Orders.

DEAR YOUTH;
This serves to inform you that the President H.E @KagutaMuseveni will deliver the 2026 State of the Nation Address to Parliament this Thursday 04th June 2026 at Kololo Independence Grounds.
He will give an update on Uganda's progress, challenges, and the government's policy direction.
Earlier today, I appeared before the Parliamentary vetting committee as a State Minister for Defence and Veteran affairs (Defence) under Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs.
I had a cordial and collegial interaction this morning with the Appointments Committee of Parliament as they fulfilled their constitutional duty under Article 113(1) to vet ministerial appointees.
Honored to appear before the Appointments Committee today as Minister of @MoICT_Ug designate. Our major focus will be expanding internet connectivity, making data affordable and driving digital inclusion for every Ugandan. Grateful for the engagement.📸 @nbstv@newvisionwire
The Government of Uganda notes with concern inaccurate reports on Ebola. Current facts show only 8 confirmed cases with all contacts identified, listed and under active follow-up. I urge all media and citizens to rely only on official @MinofHealthUG updates. @UgandaMediaCent
RATIONALISATION OF GOV'T EXPENDITURE:
The PSST Dr @rggoobi has said that effective next FY 2026/27, @GovUganda will not spend money on organising public functions (public holidays) including: Women's day,Labour day,Independence day etc). He says money will only be spent on the few religious functions.
According to Dr.Ggoobi,H.E the President @KagutaMuseveni will address Ugandans on Radio and Television from State House,adding that the money saved will be used to finance the priorities of Gov't (ATMS & Enablers).
It was a great pleasure for me when my first role on the floor of Parliament was to second the appointment of H.E. Jessica Alupo as the vice president of Uganda.
Congratulations, my big sister. i wish you blessings in your renewed mandate .
President @KagutaMuseveni 's efforts of empowering youth through skills training continues.

Yesterday I signed an agreement establishing Diplomatic relations between Uganda and Uruguay. My colleague Ambassador Dupuy Lassere signed on behalf of her country and the ceremony was witnessed by Hon. Mario Lubetkin the Foreign Minister of Uruguay.
👏🏿Congratulations Hon. Fred Byamukama upon your elevation and appointment to full Minister of Works and Transport by H.E the President.
Looking forward to your leadership as we continue advancing safe, efficient and integrated transport systems, strengthening infrastructure connectivity and supporting Uganda’s socio-economic transformation.
🤝Congratulations once again Hon. Minister!
