explaining dressage to non-horse people is so fun because it’s like yes i got a 35 on my last dressage test but i did not get a 35 like phillip dutton got a 35. my horse halts in the shape of a hexagon and phillip dutton is an olympian.

this & add being able to perform a 1st level dressage test since it literally only covers the basics on the flat that are imperative over fences. if you can’t leg yield correctly then you cannot jump safely or correctly ! but the last time i said this, i somehow had opposition 😵‍💫
