“WHEN CHILDREN ARE IN CHAINS, LEADERS MUST NOT CELEBRATE."

This Workers’ Day, we celebrate the resilience and dedication of workers everywhere.
Every worker deserves dignity, fair wages, safe conditions, and equal opportunities to thrive.
Happy Workers’ Day from @chricedng.

Women like Halima, if given opportunities to lead, could bring positive transformation in their communities.
It's time to move from "hearing" women to "including" them in the room where decisions are made.

Violence at home is never “private”.
Violence from an intimate partner is the most common form - often endured in silence.
This is preventable.
❤️🩹 Believe survivors
💞 Connect them to services
👦 Teach boys respect and equality
🏥 Provide survivor-centred services
There’s no excuse for violence.
Open the door to prevention and accountability
Focus.
Passion.
Originality.
Consistency.
These were key lessons from the Running #DigitalAdvocacy Campaigns training during our #NGA2025 experience with @naijacynth of @Cedevng, organized by @hbsNigeria.
What other factors do you believe make a digital campaign truly succeed?
One key takeaway from the Running #DigitalAdvocacy Campaigns session with @naijacynth of @Cedevng is this: When you’re wrong, apologize. It doesn’t weaken your message, it builds credibility.
Do you agree that accountability builds trust online?
@hbsNigeria#NGA2025
When trying to influence those in power and shape policies that affect lives, which approach works better: advocacy or activism?
This question came up during our #NGA2025 session with @naijacynth of @Cedevng organized by @hbsNigeria.
Which do you think drives real policy change?
I finally met Madam Ene Obi in person and what a moment that was. She radiates calm strength and quiet grace.
Her Rivers of Life story reminded me that with determination and the right support, the sky isn’t the limit. It’s only the beginning.

These 2 were pure magic together!
I love how they tell their stories. A woman who dared to dare, and a man whose humour turns life’s toughest moments into powerful lessons.
Every second of this session was gold; I didn’t want it to end.
Truly, the best things never come easy.

To fix Nigeria’s governance and development challenges, leaders must be accessible, responsible, and answerable.
Progress begins when those in power truly connect with and listen to the people they serve.

We cannot translate economic growth into real economic development without #accountability.
@hbsnigeria's #NGA2025 cohort members are exploring key concepts and intersections of #accountability, responsibility, and #transparency, as agents of change in addressing Nigeria's governance and development challenges, thanks to Mr. John Onyeukwu, development expert.
