We understand Canadians.
No one should be harmed by this process neither us nor Canadians. As TS2023, we are grateful for the helping hand Canada extended to us after the earthquake. We came here, we worked, we paid taxes, and we started rebuilding our lives. We never received even a single dollar of government assistance; we all spent the savings we brought with us. However, the uncertainties within the immigration system are now negatively affecting both us and public perception.

As thousands of people invited through a temporary measure, our only request is a fair, transparent, and predictable process. Our lives should not remain in limbo because of a “system gap” or “political delay.”
Justice and transparency are for everyone.

Canada often talks about big numbers, but sometimes the most strategic decisions involve very small ones.

There are only about 6,000 TS2023 workers in the entire country — a humanitarian cohort that arrived after the 7.8 earthquake.
Yet their economic footprint is far larger than their size:

• fully employed
• zero settlement cost
• already tax contributors
• already integrated
• filling critical roles Canada cannot fill internally fast enough
• no recruitment cost
• no processing backlog burden

Meanwhile Canada is losing high-skill workers to the U.S., faces a shrinking workforce (100 retirees replaced by 64 workers), and deals with a chronic skills mismatch.

Retaining 6,000 workers who are already here is the lowest-cost, highest-return labour policy Canada has.
PR for TS2023 isn’t about volume —
it’s about protecting Canada’s economic capacity at a time when every worker counts.

TS2023 was created after a 7.8-magnitude earthquake — a humanitarian lifeline for people who lost everything.
But what followed is the part Canada keeps overlooking:

The same newcomers who arrived seeking safety immediately filled workforce gaps during one of the tightest labour markets in Canadian history.
While Canada faced 1M+ job vacancies, and lost over 200,000 high-skill workers to the U.S. between 2016–21 — the fastest talent outflow rate in the G7 — TS2023 workers stepped into roles the economy couldn’t fill.

Even Halifax’s budget warned: ‘Retention is more important than attraction.’

Yet TS2023 workers — and even Ukrainian families who arrived through humanitarian pathways — still live with uncertainty.

Canada cannot afford a talent drain and a talent waste simultaneously.

Securing TS2023 isn’t generosity —
it’s the most economically rational and morally consistent decision Canada can make.”

#TS2023 We came to Canada through TS2023 and have started building a new life here. We work, pay taxes, and contribute to the community. We sincerely hope for an extension of the program so we can continue this journey.
